OWN WORST ENEMY. 🖤

Sometimes, the biggest enemy you’ll ever face is the one staring back at you in the mirror.

I wrote Worst Enemy about the inner wars we fight in silence. The conversations we have with ourselves when nobody’s around. The insecurities, the overthinking, the restlessness, and the anxiety that comes with chasing something you love but are terrified of losing.

A fear of staying still.
Drinking too much.
Overthinking everything.
The constant battle with my own mind.
And the anxiety of being a ̶S̶u̶c̶c̶e̶s̶s̶f̶u̶l̶ ̶artist, putting yourself out into the world and hoping it’s enough.

These were the thoughts, the contradictions and the demons that became the palette for this canvas of a song.

Because sometimes, the hardest person to overcome is yourself.

This one is personal( and has become my most favourite) . I hope it resonates with you, and if you’ve ever felt like your own mind was working against you, just know you’re not alone.

Worst Enemy.

As always, love to Team Blake.

Tuesday Nights gig at Karma Sanctum was fun. The Audience got up and danced and sang along and the vibe was pure niceness. Thanks again to to everyone who came out and if you didn’t make it down make sure you don’t miss out on the next one. 😎 #singer #songwriter #guitarist #fender #stratocaster taken in London, United Kingdom by @georgemalamas

I have weekends available at my studio for mid / long term hire.

The studio is built around a 48 channel Neotek Elite (ex Peter Garbriel, Real World Studios / Chapel Studios)

It is loaded with 32 mono and 8 stereo modules, for a total of 32 mic/line channels during recording and 80 channels on mixdown.

It is situated in the High Cross Centre, 3 minutes walk from Tottenham Hale and 7 minutes walk from Seven Sisters tube stations.

The studio has its own private entrance, is alarmed and comprises the control room, the booth and the old live room which is now the home of Seb from Elephant Riders. There is also a small kitchen for your coffee, tea and food prep needs.

The booth has a window to the control room, 8 mic tie lines and a Powerplay monitoring setup.

The old live room is around 300 sq.ft, has a window to the control room, 24 mic tie lines and can be used for drums / ensemble recordings etc, (subject to availability and at extra cost).

Monitoring is taken care of by a pair of Genelec 1031A's, a pair of Yamaha NS-10M Studios and a Genelec 7070A subwoofer.

Converters are 2 x Apogee AD -16X and 3 x Apogee DA-16X for a total of 32 channels of AD and 48 channels of DA conversion.

Outboard includes 1176's and LA-2A clones, TC reverb, Aurora Audio preamps etc.

Mics include a tube David Bock U99 from the early 2000's, AKG D12VR, AKG 451s, 57s, 58s, Sontronics etc.

Due to the Apogee converters, the studio is Mac only, so would suit someone with a Macbook or Mac Mini / Studio.

Elephant Riders are conveniently based just next door and have a nice selection of vintage and modern instruments / backline for hire.

DM me if interested for further details.

Thanks for looking.

Its finally out y’all

Right from wrong!

Golly! I don’t know where to start with this song.

It’s about unrequited love but I wanted it to be fast and funky (like prince) but also how can you can’t your right from wrong with these things.

I couldn’t shake off the amazing groove of this song from the bass. it just hits you in the face, and it made me wanna dance .
it sounds like a bar fight between Prince and Michael Jackson, whilst on LSD. Lol 😝

so I hope you enjoy this song.
