11 years ago, we walked out of this church as husband and wife, carrying dreams, hopes, and a whole lifetime ahead of us.

Today, we came back through those same doors, not just as a married couple, but as parents, with our beautiful kids beside us.

Life has a funny way of coming full circle. Over 20 years ago we went to church together, and today I’ve had the privilege of helping this beautiful family enter the property market. Truly grateful to play a small part in such an important milestone.

🤫 Sometimes, the smartest property move is to keep quiet and do your homework! 🏡

Francis Bacon said, “Silence is the sleep that nourishes wisdom.”

When it comes to property investing, you don’t need to follow every hot tip or jump at every deal. Take a breath, do your research, crunch the numbers, and let your brain do the talking before your wallet does! 💰

Less noise. More knowledge. Smarter property decisions. 😉

💰 6% SAVINGS INTEREST IS BACK… BUT THERE’S A CATCH! 👀

Your savings account might finally be getting some love!

Some Australian banks are now offering ongoing savings rates of up to 6.00% following the RBA’s September rate hike. Sounds great, right? But before you start planning what to do with all that interest, check the fine print. 🧐

Here’s the catch:
🏦 BOQ’s 6% rate is for savers aged 14–35.
💰 Newcastle Permanent’s 6% rate is for those under 25.
📋 Both require you to meet monthly conditions.
🎯 Some other banks offer 6% introductory rates, but only for a limited time.
🙌 AMP offers 5.50% with no monthly conditions for eligible adults, on balances up to $50,000.

And what about the big four banks? They’ve increased many bonus savings rates, but left their base rates unchanged. So if you miss the monthly targets, you might not see a cent more in interest!

The takeaway? Don't just chase the biggest number. Check the conditions, compare the ongoing rate and make sure the account suits your circumstances.

And if you're saving for your first home, every dollar of interest helps bring that deposit closer. 🏡

Almost nine in 10 households aged over 55 in Australia have at least one spare bedroom, and 60 per cent have two or more. That’s twice the rate of households aged 25 to 54, according to new research published in the GemLife Downsizing Australia Report.

Although Australia's rapidly growing older population holds more wealth than ever alongside millions of spare bedrooms, financial disincentives continue to deter many from downsizing.

🏡 Want to get a better deal on your next property?

Successful property negotiation starts with preparation, not luck.

Before making an offer, remember to: ✅ Research the local market. ✅ Know what the property is worth. ✅ Set your budget and stick to it. ✅ Get your finances ready. ✅ Stay calm, confident, and be willing to walk away.

Remember, the goal isn’t just to buy a property. It’s to buy the right property at the right price for your goals.

💡 A little preparation today can make a big difference tomorrow.

🏡 That dream home could be love at first sight… and a financial nightmare if you don’t listen first! 😂💸

When buying your first home, it’s easy to get caught up in the pretty kitchen, the walk-in wardrobe and imagining Christmas lunch in the backyard.

But before you start measuring for the couch, make sure you understand your borrowing power, the costs beyond the deposit and what you can comfortably afford.

Because the smartest first-home buyers aren’t necessarily the ones who know the most. They’re the ones who ask the right questions and listen to good advice before making a big move.

🏡 Got your eye on your first home? Let’s chat about your options before your heart makes an offer your wallet can’t handle! 😉

We pulled together Mariettas ooshies netball team to raise awareness for Type 1 diabetes.

Though we got doughnuts, I believe I should be in the goal shooter position moving forward haha.

Lots of laughs and tumbles, most importantly we all had fun for our princess.

Thank you to @thetype1foundation for organising a great event and also to the referees who had to put up with our fouls and travels.
Key statistics about Type 1 diabetes:

-Australia estimates more than 145,000 Australians were living with Type 1 diabetes as of January 2026.

-Around 3,000 Australians are diagnosed each year, according to current estimates.

-About 89% of Australians with Type 1 diabetes are aged 21 or older.

🏡 Could your Melbourne suburb be sitting on a $100K+ payday? 👀

Forget checking your bank balance for a second… you might want to check your property value! 😂

New modelling suggests 69 Melbourne suburbs could see house prices grow by 25% or more over the next five years, with more affordable suburbs leading the charge.

📈 Here are a few suburbs turning heads:

🏆 Langwarrin: $875K → potentially $1.14M
🚀 Frankston North: Among the top growth contenders
🏡 Mickleham: $683K → potentially $884K over 10 years
🔑 Rockbank: $616K → potentially $793K over 10 years

And here's the big picture: Melbourne could go from 188 million-dollar house suburbs in 2026 to 372 by 2036 under the modelling. 😳

Why the interest? Melbourne's relative affordability could attract more buyers, especially as interstate migration picks up.

But before you start mentally spending that future profit on a new kitchen and a European holiday… ✈️

These figures are based on historical trends, not guaranteed price predictions. Interest rates, inflation and market conditions will all play a part.

💡 George's tip: Don't buy a property just because someone says it's the next hotspot. Look at your borrowing power, cash flow, long-term goals and whether the numbers stack up for YOU.

Because the best property move isn't always the one making the biggest headlines. 😉
