If you know me, you know that I’ve had other plans and taken a completely different path all four years of high school — that I am obviously now not pursuing 😂. I decided on Samford because Jesus made it real clear that it was where I’m supposed to be!

A few weeks ago, I had a random urge to apply to samford. I applied in a rush during my math class. I’ve loved Samford’s campus and it’s people my entire life and I thought it wouldn’t hurt to just see. I had no intentions of going, even if I was accepted, so I told absolutely no one that I had applied. That afternoon, I really panicked thinking “well now I really don’t know what I am doing after high school”, because even before applying I had absolutely no clue what next year would look like for me. I prayed and prayed HARD for a clear sign that Samford is or is not where I am supposed to be.

The same night, I attended a Gala for my work, and there was super sweet photographer, @chloeewilliams___ , who approached me. She asked me where I was going next year, and I told her I had absolutely no idea. In response she told me not to worry because at this point her senior year, she had no idea either. So, I asked her where she ended up going and why… she said that she had other plans and felt a pull to Samford and applied at the last minute. She shared her story with me, and there were so many details that align with my story exactly. There was no way that this was not Jesus giving me my sign that I asked him for on a silver platter.

Ultimately, she told me that she decided to go — that it was the best decision she had ever made. As you can imagine, I was left speechless and B-lined it to the restroom in tears and immediately FaceTimed my best friend @greermileski (who didn’t know I applied) and told her that we’d be going to the same college we grew up loving together, but this time as students. BOW WOW BABY! ❤️💙 by @georgiagoss_
