On June 5th, when I began my attempt to break the Guinness World Record for worlds longest live stream the record was 918 hours. I live-streamed Sight Value for 960 hours. Today I submitted my application to Guinness and learned that on June 14th the record was broken and is now 1,272 hours. I could not have hoped for a better outcome β™‘ by @georgiaraebanks

POPULAR VERSUS CULTURE GEORGIA BANKS πŸ’– Popular Versus Culture presents new and recent works by Georgia Banks that examine visibility, legacy and the cultural systems through which both are pursued. Framed as a solo exhibition but expanded through collection works and invited artists, the exhibition explores what Banks describes as β€œlegacy leeching”—the entanglement of practices across popular and high culture to test what endures, circulates and disappears. Can an AI chatbot help you fall in love with yourself? #ArtWorksABC Georgia Banks's performance art practice is often transgressive: she has conversed with strangers on the phone for 48 hours straight, been cut up and crucified, and recently has a life-long performance wherein members of the public can apply to take charge of her funeral arrangements upon her death.
