Keep forgetting to use this account. Last couple weeks the big progress has been sanding down the whole car to get rid of the crappy paint that was on it. After that we have primed the whole car, fixed body imperfections, fixed body rust, covered holes that won’t be needed anymore like hatch lock and security lock. We have also installed rubber hatch tie down latches to ensure trunk stays strapped down. As well as hood pins. We also made a front splitter lip out of wood and will keep working on that to flatten it out and get it painted.

It’s amazing seeing all of this progress after not having much hope for the car at the beginning. Our goal is to keep getting it prepped and get it painted within 3 weeks. In the meantime, we will also be rebuilding the engine so it’ll be in great shape to race! by @gerbs.garage

First day back working on the race car. Removed mirrors, windows, and lights to prepare for sanding. Also started removing things like AC, cruise control, washer fluid, etc… got to the timing and realized the inner timing cover was cracked and not the outer 😭 by @gerbs.garage
