Walked around the Roman Forum and saw the Arches of Titus and Constantine…For Titus, Israel used the menorah carving for their official seal, that was really cool…

We also saw the Temple of Venus and went to see the sculpture of Moses by Michelangelo!! At St. Peter at Vincoli, you’ll also see Saint Peter’s chains. Finally, we went to @bottiglieria_aitrescalini due to their 4.5 star Yelp average, even higher on Google!! The meatballs, eggplant parm, and chicken were really good :) Stay safe everyone!!

@chiuquonbakery on Argyle is just so convenient and just as good as their Southside Chinatown location, I stopped by for a egg custard with a sweet topping :)

Had a great breakfast @thehiverome and took a nice walk to the Roman Forum to visit their temples.. There were so many people on @vespa and the @fiat cars were very cute…

Finally made it to @noonokabab in Lincolnwood, from Highwood on down, they have the Northshore covered!! No need to just go to their Kedzie location which is their original OG location…

As usual, the chicken skewers were great, the veggies were fresh, the pita bread was excellent as was the presentation of the food and service!! Thank you Noon O Kabob for opening up here.!! Summer is finally over and thank you El Niño. :)

It was really hot as we drove to Rome and we checked in @thehiverome and what a centrally located place and the room was very spacious!!
Excellent room service, thank you my Filipina sistas!!

We immediately went up on the rooftop to have some Aperol Spritzes with our salad, brazzino, chicken, rigatoni, and lava cake…there was a nice breeze up there, fighting off the heat wave!!

Tried @c3_coffeebar for the very first time here @villagecrossingmall and the decor is really conducive to hanging out and enjoying your day…I had a large caramel latte with a cinnamon roll which I warmed up and had at home with some raspberries… dang what took me so long to visit because the service, coffee, and cinnamon roll were all very good!!

Drove up from Florence and we had to visit @sanfrancescoassisi to check out this colossal church that was built in 1228…the line was incredibly long and worth it, to see this @unescoitaly site…

After walking downhill back to the parking lot, we grabbed a porchetta sandwich which was underwhelming!! Make sure to eat in town, note to self :)

Went to @ziassocial and had the best salads we’ve ever had!! The Waldorf and the Zia’s Pena, one with grilled chicken and the other with rare steak - both were generously packed with protein and ingredients!!

Finally, one of the servers recommended the fried calamari and that was just perfection. :) Note: They don’t serve Italian bread with the meal@but was was just fine with me…

Visited Piazzale Michelangelo for a beautiful view of Florence from the higher elevation and that was panoramic and beautiful!! The statue of David was a real big plus too…

We finally got hungry and had dinner @i3pini which served excellent appetizers, dinner, an assortment of drinks and wine. We really enjoyed @saraceniwines - blumond, Libero, and their Volare!!

Back to I Tre Pini - the service and live singing and opera singing was excellent!!

I always so happy to try a new Italian place, new to me at least, and Pompei’s food was excellent. Note: they also had an original spot on Taylor in Little Italy and they do still have a location by UIC.

We enjoyed the Chicken Caesar Salad, Eggplant Parmigiana with fettuccini and meat sauce (both upgrades) and a deconstructed cannoli :) That was all very filling @pompei_restaurants !! Grazie Mille!!

Michelangelo was one of the greatest renaissance men of his time, he and Leonardo were besties and we just had to go to @galleriaaccademiafirenze to see the statue of David, cut out of one block of Carrera marble!! This was spectacular up close and personal, to see the future king, before his battle with Goliath…

If you want legit Arepas and more, come to @toparepa1 in Schaumburg, IL!! We tried their namesake, the Top Arepa and the Patacon sandwich - both were incredibly good. We also ate some of their beef empanadas and toquenos (ham and cheese egg rolls), those didn’t make it home. :)
