Healing can look like “the guy with a mop”, buzzing off all your hair, shelving your audition book in the back of your closet, ripping up headshots, it’s SLOW, it’s day to day, I’m still angry/sad/depressed…but I’m supposed to be here with these young dancers until it’s my turn. #dance #dancers #musicaltheatre #broadway #theatre taken in New York City by @gerrywithuhg

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do for your dream is walk away from it for a while.
Not because you stopped loving it.
Because you need to remember who you were before it hurt.
So, for now, I’m building something new.
A new space. A new chapter. A new version of me.
I don’t know when I’ll return to the stage. Or the audition rooms.
I just know I want to return as someone who feels like himself again. I need to stop trying to get back to who I was in 2018…he did his job and I need to let him go.
Some dreams don’t disappear.
They wait for you to find your way back to them. #musicaltheatre #broadway #theatre #musical #dancer taken in Manhattan, New York by @gerrywithuhg
