Hi friend, I’m Gervase! I'm a homeschool mom of six, creator, organizer-at-heart, and a woman building a home full of purpose, joy, and Jesus. September was such a fun month for our homeschool family. We dove into math with all kinds of manipulatives: chalkboards, ten frames, hands‑on tools that made learning feel alive. Art Fridays were full of creativity and color, and we soaked up every chance to learn outside. I stayed committed to my six‑days‑a‑week workouts, Tru loved exploring the built‑in preschool resources in his free curriculum app, we started our space science unit, finished our second Language Arts novel, and even built models of atoms in Chemistry. Cooking 1 amazed us with how simple and meaningful it made kitchen learning. I’m so grateful for this season, and I cannot wait to see what October brings for our homeschool.

I finally gave my kids’ bedrooms the upgrade I have been dreaming about, and I cannot believe how effortless it was. Recently I have been reflecting on what I want my children to carry with them long after their homeschool years, and real‑life skills are at the top of that list. Cooking has always been something I wanted to teach them, but figuring out how to break it all down felt overwhelming.

Zyla has been working so hard to become a stronger swimmer, showing up week after week and proving to herself that she can do hard things. Every time she levels up she gets a confidence boost, and it’s been so beautiful to watch. She made it to the Pro 1 level!

Even with Flu A sweeping through our house, we still found pockets of energy to keep our homeschool rhythm going strong. This week was full of pajamas, doctor visits, antibiotics, and still so many sweet learning moments. From dog breed presentations to ancient Egypt, higher‑level math, and watching my kids help each other, I’m reminded that our routine doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. Not even Flu A could stop us from showing up, learning together, and making the most of every moment.

As a homeschool mom of six, I’ve learned that strong routines start with strong foundations and for us, that means beginning each day with reading and math. People always ask why I homeschool my kids, and honestly, moments like this make the answer pretty clear.
