Journalists!! I missed you, what’s up 😊 been a minute so I’ll just give you the stars and you can make the constellation:

⭐️ - I’ve been trying to work on my Visibility Wound, I certainly didn’t put it there but I will be the one to heal it!

⭐️ - I’m proud of the mentor I’m becoming; I’ve only posted glimpses of it here (and that’s going to change!) but my students tell me how seen they feel in our work and that builds me up so much. Some are speaking at the U.N. this summer, some are illustrating diagrams in research papers, and one is interviewing ME for his film 🥹 so surreal and I’m so proud.

⭐️ - I’m REALLY excited about some incoming music I have for y’all!! I’ve been working with folks that make me feel safe and powerful. All I can say is what I’ve discovered from singing it and writing it:

🌟ANAIIS AND ELLIOT SKINNER APPRECIATION POST 🌟

Journalists, this is what happens….

”When Sages Meet” - in a cross/faded car ride back home I told my love that a camera can only capture 1/8th in of what it meant to be that moment (in the age of AI it’s even less but I’m not here to talk about how y’all have cheapened the photo.) but it can at least point you to where something powerful may live.

Something powerful indeed lives in @hotcocoacartel and @elliottskinner 🌌 no matter what cycle of time we may be in, humans may always recognize when sages meet. As musicians/soundscapers/seekers there was a love ethic that radiated from the stage through their lyrics + music + and community (@canteenkilla it was a gift to hear you up there; @healingprojectsound @healingprojectarchive it is truly always a sonic delight to hear you all). It’s in moments improvised moments like these that I find the shape of my soul.
