No music for this one - preliminary tuning with 5psi gate spring to check spark and fuelling.
Just leaning on it slightly makes her build from 3000rpm and make all the right noises
Cruising with the kids for the first time in 8 months and 2 years in the making

When loading on a flat bed is a good thing

Off to Mettams in Midand for Mark and the team to fix up the final bit of exhaust dramas so I can finally start tuning the new setup. Needless to say Mark smashed out some magic and the Caprice was done and dusted before lunch.

New cam, intake, heads, G42-1200 turbo and 1000cc injectors and all fuel system supporting mods.
Been 80% fun, 20% pain in the ass which is pretty much bang on for this type of thing.

Looking forward to driving the big girl again 👌

Big day today - the first time the big girls been started and allowed to run in over 6 months. Haven’t even clamped everything down but couldn’t wait to fire her up and get her off blocks and out into the fresh air.
No exhaust fitted yet but she is idling sweet and didn’t explode or catch fire which is a massive win! by @get_chekd

Almost there - Only 50-odd things to finish before she gets fired up for the first time in months!

Slightly underestimated the size of the work scope when I started but starting to get excited now.

My back is telling me this is what progress looks like….

Whoever said “sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards” underplayed some critical parts of what going forward looks like 😂
Missed the Brock cruise so now the pressure is off and I can relax and actually go back to enjoying the build

Almost done 🙈
