When I was little, this team, @proteaswomencsa didn’t even exist.

Last year, they played in the Cricket World Cup Final, the first South African team, men or women, to make it that far in the ODI format.

And they’re inspiring a new generation of girls to dream bigger. (And a generation of older girls like me to keep chasing the dreams)

That’s the story.
That’s the real win.

And… I’m so excited to say I’ll be heading to the Women’s Cricket World Cup in the UK this June to watch the Proteas 🇿🇦

It started as my mum’s way of telling me to get moving, to give my best, whether at home, on the field or at the beach.

After losing her in 2021, those words became more than a phrase. They became a way of living.
Now, every time I run, swim, paddle or race, I hear it again.

It’s also the heartbeat behind how I work, and how @get_on_media was born.
Less theory. More doing.

The Lifesaving World Championships are coming to South Africa.

Before a single race starts, I wanted to sit down with some of the people who’ve been there. World champions. Coaches. Athletes. Clubbies.

The ones who trained for months for one race. Who won when it mattered, and lost when they thought they’d done everything right. Who raced in green and gold, and in their club colours. Who stood on a start line on the other side of the world with their knees knocking, and raced anyway.

Road to Worlds is seven conversations about what it actually takes to get there, what happens when you do, and why it matters that this time the world is coming to us.

The things you learn when you finally admit you have no idea what you’re doing with your phone storage. 😂

I’ve got hundreds of hours of footage sitting on my phone from tours, and for years my system was:

Phone → Laptop → Hard Drive.

Two transfers. Twice the waiting. Completely unnecessary.

Turns out… you can just plug the hard drive straight into your phone and transfer the footage directly.

No ways. 🤯

Anyway, lesson learnt. Storage crisis slightly less imminent.

Now just waiting for SuperSport to call. I’m ready whenever you are. 📱🎥

As someone who works in sport, this was one of those moments that reminds you what’s possible.

@kappie777 claimed her 100th T20 International wicket in style, dismissing Bangladesh’s opener with the first ball of the match at Lord’s.
