Step 2: Check your saved passwords to identify if they’ve been leaked, weak or reused:

If You Find a Breach Take These 4 Steps Immediately
1. Change the password on the affected account(s) immediately.
• Use a strong, unique password for each.
2. Set up a password manager (like LastPass,Bitwarden, 1Password, etc.)
• This helps generate and store unique passwords for all sites.
3. Turn on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
• Adds a second layer of security even if your password leaks.
4. Clean up old or unused accounts
• Delete any you no longer use they’re just sitting targets.

Your email address seems harmless and uninteresting for hacker… but is it though? Here’s what hackers can do with just your email address:
1. Send phishing scams: Hackers can send targeted phishing email to your email to get you to share sensitive date or click a link that can compromise and grant them access to your devices.
2. Access your other accounts: Your email is often tied to data brokers, leaked info, and more. If hacker find reused passwords, they can get into your social media, shopping, or banking accounts.
3. Steal your identity: With a bit more info, they can impersonate you to open credit lines or fake accounts.

What you should do to protect your accounts:
✅ Use a strong, unique password for your accounts — not your pet’s name or “123456”
✅ Turn on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
✅ Don’t click on links or download attachments from suspicious messages
✅ Check if your email’s been leaked: use tools like Have I Been Pwned
