If you want to understand how we celebrate in New Orleans, you have to understand where we come from. 🎺⚜️

When Stuph’D took on the @foodnetwork #GreatFoodTruckRace and brought that WIN back home, there was only one way we were ever going to celebrate. Brass at full blast, the whole room shaking, and a second line right down the middle of the floor.

To the outside world, it looks like a party. To us, it’s our heritage. In New Orleans, second lining is in our DNA. Rooted deep in African traditions, neighborhood social aid & pleasure clubs, and brass band culture, the second line was born out of resilience, community, and solidarity. The “first line” is the band and the brass, the “second line” is everybody else who joins the movement, catching the beat, letting the footwork talk, and turning collective joy into an art form.

We dance when we mourn, we dance through hard times, and when we win? We shake the very foundation of the room.
Look closely at the footwork. Look at those smiles. Thats generational New Orleans spirit in motion.
We didn’t just compete for a title, we showed up and showed out for the city that built us.

Thank you to everyone who packed the house, waved a napkin, blew a horn, and cheered us on all season long.
The crown is home. New Orleans, this is for you! 🏆🏁🚚💨
