Honestly didn’t see “insurance broker” coming when I was playing D1 volleyball. 😅

But the more I sit in this work, the more I realize — the same things that made me good on the court are making me good at this. Showing up when it’s hard. Fighting for the people on my team. Not quitting when the game gets close.

The transition out of athletics was messy and humbling and nobody talks about that enough. But I’m starting to see that everything I built as an athlete was just… prep.

This year was filled with growth, milestones, and so much support. I graduated from New Mexico State University in August, stepped into a full-time career with Goosehead Insurance, and I’m officially six months in — learning, growing, and truly loving what I do! 🏡✨

I’m incredibly thankful for the referral partners, friends, and family who believed in me, supported me, and trusted me along the way. Your encouragement and constant support means more than you know!

The California FAIR Plan should be a last resort — not your first option.

It exists to provide fire coverage for California homeowners who can’t find coverage in the traditional insurance market, often because of wildfire exposure. But it’s important to understand that the FAIR Plan is not the same as a traditional homeowners policy and can leave significant gaps in coverage.

And with FAIR Plan rates increasing by 29%, now is a good time to take another look at your options.

California’s insurance market is changing, and homeowners who previously had limited choices may have options today that weren’t available before.

If you’re currently on the FAIR Plan, I recommend having your coverage reviewed before assuming it’s your only option.

After working in insurance long enough, you start to see the same patterns over and over again.

Most people don’t review their coverage — they just renew it.
Most people don’t realize rebuild cost ≠ market value.
And most people think insurance is expensive… until they see what a real claim costs.

None of this is about fear. It’s about awareness.

My job isn’t just to write policies.
It’s to make sure what you’re buying is actually protected.
