The time has come to reach out to you, our beautiful GIHE community, to ask for your help 💕 Sadly, it's becoming harder to cover the costs of hosting our regular inclusive gigs, so we've started a little Crowdfunder, and it would mean the absolute world if you're able to donate anything at all 💕Another way to support would be to book advance tickets to our gigs / let us know you're coming & arrange to pwyc otd 🙏More below / in images and link in stories & our linktree ⬇️ Huge love & gratitude xxx

Having been hosting our inclusive gigs for 10 years, it's now becoming increasingly difficult to cover the costs of consistently putting on these events. As a completely non-profit organisation, we cover all event costs purely through ticket sales and out of our own pocket. We’re completely committed to continuing to ensure our gigs are reasonably priced and paying all bands and artists fairly, but recently doing this has become harder due to the increased costs of everything, as well as it being less common for people to buy advance tickets to events. It's now sadly got to the point that we are going to have to start cancelling gigs if we're not confident that we'll be able to cover costs in advance.

For this reason, we thought we’d reach out to our beloved community! We know times are hard for everyone right now, but if you do have anything to spare we’d massively appreciate a little help so that we’re able to continue doing what we do. If we’re able to have some money put aside as a back-up fund to cover costs when needed, it could be a really important life-line that would mean we don’t have to cancel any events and let the amazing bands down!

It really would mean the world (if you’re in a position to do so) if you’re able to contribute anything at all to our little fund, so that we can continue to host our regular nights of gorgeous live music by and for women and the queer community.

During these scary times, being able to continue putting on these joyous and inclusive events for you seems more important than ever, so any help at all would hugely appreciated!

We are SO blown away by the incredible generosity of our community in donating to our crowdfunder that we set up to help cover the costs of hosting our gigs - HUGE thanks to everyone who's donated so far 💕 There's still a week left to go of the crowdfunder & so if you would still like to contribute anything you can before it closes, it would be so massively appreciated (link in bio)! 💕 ALSO, it was 9 years ago today that we launched our little website, and we're super grateful for anyone who's read what we've written, sent us music to feature and supported us to keep going in that time - it's not always easy to feel motivated, but being part of such a gorgeous community helps us continue! 💕 Swipe for our bts artworking legend @paullikesrobots initial sketches of what our website would be, and then a a photo of us from about 9 years ago (credit @_thesassyshow ) xxx
