A year ago, I started blending citrus, agave, salt and ice in my kitchen, and idea was to make a hydrating snack that tasted really, really good - like the lemon ice I grew up eating on hot summer days, but better for you. I played around with a lot of different packaging formats - rice paper sleeves, old school POM Tea jars, etc - and ultimately settled on homemade icepop sleeves. I started handing them out at a card table in front of SolidCore and CorePower (s/o Kelly, Lexi, Sam, Aspen) and people really liked them! So I rented a commissary kitchen, figured out how to get health department approval, and while I could only make ~150 a week, I formally launched the brand and started selling in June of this summer. My first customer was Tisha at @tulahotyoga Tula is a boutique Bikram-style studio, and the first place I experienced hot yoga 12 years ago in June 2013. After I shook hands with Tisha and installed the Rallypop freezer, I was so hyped..I walked around Wash Park like 5 times listening to Yeat on max vol, calling everyone in my iPhone lol. My second customer was @whatis.jakedoing at @5280runclub I knew I wanted to break into the very fast growing run club scene, but wasn’t sure if I had enough capacity to do it / how to do it the right way. After 5 minutes of hanging at 5280, I knew I was all in, and spent the rest of the summer working weird hours to keep Tula and 5280 stocked. It was so worth it, I’ll remember this summer for the rest of my days. Rallypop’s mission is to be the best tasting electrolyte solution on the market, and the general vision is to channel the growth of the business into communities like Tula and 5280 to help athletes develop and thrive. This is the end of what I’m calling Rallypop Season 1. CPG is perhaps an easy industry to break into, but it’s very difficult to survive. Crowded shelves, long cash cycles, evolving tastes…but Rallypop is renewed for a new season, and this time I’m doubling down on making the recipes even better, and working with a manufacturer than can help me syndicate it to more people. I’m running out of room, so I’ll leave it at this: Thank you for being here with me, lock in on szn 2 ⚡️ taken in Cherry Creek North by @getrallypop

Kid tested, mom approved! We’ve tested Rallypop with friends and family (Sunny counts as family) on courts, trails, turf fields, grass fields, snow fields, and just about everywhere else we can think, and people love it. Thank you for being part of the Rallypop journey over the last 2 years. We are getting ready for the next chapter of the project, follow us right here or at @will.rallypop to get the latest updates on when we’re going to launch online, who our retail partners are, and maybe something else that we’re working on 🤫 . . . #rallypop #rallygram #colorado taken in DU Richie Center by @getrallypop

Why was this icepop $100? 👇 Well, by the time it gets to your freezer, it won’t be $100 per pop. This is the prototype for the next edition of Rallypop, and it was made to spec in an R&D facility in Golden, Colorado. It required almost an entire day of dedicated technicians to make just 10 pops - and while these prototypes are expensive, they serve as the framework for the full manufacturing run we’re planning for this month. My name is Will, I’m building Rallypop from scratch! Tune in and follow the journey! . . . #rallygram #rallypop taken in Cheesman Park by @getrallypop

Run clubs are not trendy. They were cool in the 2000s, 2010s and may be hitting a stride now with social media - but getting together with friends or strangers and going for even a short run will make change the course of the rest of your day. Styles may change, but run clubs will always be relevant. Shout out @5280runclub for consistently hosting the best night of the week. If you’re looking for a club, come check 5280 out. . . . #rallygram #rallypop #running taken in Cherry Creek by @getrallypop
