Working on this one for the debut album. It's called SupaStar.

It's about what a breakup does to your map. She's gone, but Union Station isn't. The venues aren't. Every place you shared is still standing there, and you can't use any of it.

This is half the song. The full version is on YouTube, link in bio, along with a question I need answered about where this one goes next.

SupaStar

I don't like it, when you try to play psychic
None of that bullshit, ever comes true
I don't wanna, take the damn train to Toronto
Cause right at Union, ICU
Fucking billboard, Amber said you look like a real whore
I don't think that's true... But do you?

Who you are, you ain't nothing but a supastar baby
You'll go far, once you realize everyone's taking
Who you are, you ain't nothing but a supastar baby
Leave that scar, with a wink and a smile that's crazy

You ain't gonna like it, but I got me a new sidekick
And she ain't nothing like you, except cute
So roll with your crowd, get real loud
But I know that ain't you, but do you?

Who you are, you ain't nothing but a supastar baby
You'll go far, once you realize everyone's taking

Rest of it's on YouTube. by @getting_chili

I had the guilty pleasure of watching @j.harvey.inc from @thewildhighband make the room go quiet with this incredible performance last night at a songwriting round in Burlington @thesobrmarket - John was joined by two other incredible songwriters/singers @dannysmartmusic and @bernadetteconnors who hosted this intimate show. Thanks everybody! Great show

The performing artist will never be replaced by AI. This is not meant to be controversial but I believe the real artist is one of the only careers that is safe from being replaced. Real artists who can stand on the stage and perform and bring others. Joy in community will never go away. This is clip from a session with a company today and they encouragement me to share it. Live artist music will continue to grow. #canadianmusic #livemusic #performingartist #careergrowth by @getting_chili
