A difficult week and a goodbye none of us ever wanted to say. Damn it, Adam. You will be missed by so many, especially my sister and the kids. I will honor your life and legacy every day. This type of loss changes you forever and is a stark reminder of what is really important. Life is fragile. In an instant, everything can change. There are no guarantees. A lesson to all of us left with only memories: live, love hard, and be gentle with yourself. You get one life. This is not my first reminder of that, but this one hits much harder. Until we meet again, you were loved and will always be the missing voice in the room, but I promise you will be remembered with laughter and smiles, because that is what you gave us all. by @getting_to_the_core

The days are long but the years fly by. Every emotion is present in this milestone and I’m overwhelmed by all of it. Pride is at the top of the list. I love this human with all of my heart. Forever, no matter what. I won’t take up much space in the dorm room. #classof2025 by @getting_to_the_core

I’m at a loss for words and completely in denial of time but this is her final senior year performance. My only hope is it isn’t her last and that college gets her back on a stage somewhere. I know this is out of her comfort zone, I know she was upset it wasn’t perfect, I know she was embarrassed she lost her breath, but she gave her little voice more power on stage than ever before outside of her bedroom walls. I am proud of her courage. She always pushes through her fear and for this I am so grateful for all the years she has dedicated to her instrument and allowed herself to be vulnerable in a way most of us never would. My little barnacle has grown into this beautiful woman! She is amazing in every way. Thoughtful, humble, kind, hilarious, wise, loyal, sensitive…it is a better world with her in it.
