The true purpose of a trip is never the reason we gave ourselves to set out for our adventure. We may plan and plot an itinerary or a goal for our journey.

But the real takeaway is never in the sites seen, the check points reached or the tasks/goals accomplished, but the person we become in the process.

It's said that you don't cross the same river twice, and in the same way, the person at the end of a journey is never the same person who departed, and that is the real trip: we get one step closer to our higher selves, even if we may never reach the final version.

One of the topics I find myself returning to is how we humans often subconsciously use sexual energy to fulfil a need for connection in a way that doesn’t trigger our attachment system and fear of true vulnerability. For some, it’s the only way to feel safe to connect with others. Or maybe the only way they know.

As a woman, it has always bothered me to be hyper-sexualised, as if all I had to offer was my sexuality, when I know that it is only one of the many dimensions of my physical and spiritual being.

Sexual energy is powerful and beautiful when channeled consciously and intentionally. Some argue it’s the essence of creative energy itself, as it creates life. But it has been trivialised and utilised as a crutch to mimic the thing we are actually craving: true connection to ourselves, to others and to God. To be seen, to be known, to be loved, as we are. Yes, being seen as ‘hot’ can be validating and pleasure can be intoxicating. Yet it is a tiny bandage 🩹 on a gaping wound: The unmet need to feel connected to life around us, in sync with the world and with God. Using sexual energy solely to extract pleasure and validation from others is a way to escape the journey inwards to meet ourselves, to see ourselves and know ourselves and therefore, to know God. We subconsciously project this lack outwardly and use others as mirrors to reflect back what we are really missing…

Personally, nothing is sexier to me than a person who can see and express themselves as a multi-dimensional being (sexuality included) and treat others as such: as a whole human being with a soul, not as a piece of meat.

Nothing is more beautiful than a person who can show themselves as they really are, with their insecurities and fears, their darkest thoughts and flaws, and their dreams and wishes. That sort of intimacy creates the grounds where the most beautiful connections can flourish, and the desire that grows from that is way deeper and more meaningful than desire based on looks, or the empty pursuit of validation.

Next time you feel the need to hyper-sexualise yourself or others, ask yourself what lies under that desire. What are you REALLY craving deep down? by @gfuchs7

One of my favourite memories of 2025: summiting the Concepción Volcano in Ometepe, Nicaragua after an arduous 8 hour hike!

The steepest, most slippery hike I've ever done! At the time I did it for (and with) a man! And although he encouraged me along the way and held my hand when the path disappeared (he even blocked my fall at one point with his walking stick!), it was ME who endured the hardest hike I've ever done, one step at the time!

When we reached the summit it was so cloudy that we couldn't see the crater, but we still stood there in awe of our accomplishment, so proud of ourselves for persevering.

This person is not in my life anymore, but this memory of what I'm capable of will always remain in me and for that I thank him.

This is how I approach life: perseverance, even when the road is windy and slippery, even when the path disappears (a helping hand and an encouraging word will always be there) and at the end this is a walk of faith, even when we can't see clearly, we endure. And finally, the reward: not the end goal, but who we become during this process.

I became the woman who hikes and summits volcanos (2 in a month) and mountains (2 in 2 months) and doesn't give up even if it costs her physical and psychological pain.

Just when you think you lost something, you find even more. If the last couple months taught me anything is that life is full of surprises, amazing people and that magic happens when we surrender to and live in the infinite NOW.
Anything that doesn't belong will fall away and what aligns will stick like glue.
