In this article, I opened up.
About the obstacles that nearly broke me — and the moments that built me instead.

What do you do when everything falls apart?
When the odds are stacked and the road disappears?

I shared my truth:
How I created my own weather when there was no wind to carry me.
How I navigated those impossible chapters and kept walking anyway.

This is more than a story —
It’s a reminder to anyone who feels like they’re at the edge:
You’re not alone.

Fear is the first thing you feel beneath your skin when you step into a new world, but it’s also the first thing you must rise above.
Landing alone at Boston Logan Airport for the first time, I felt that fear, raw and real. But 2024 wasn’t just about facing it—it was about stepping into my purpose, embracing the leap that would define me.
It taught me to stand strong in the face of uncertainty, to lead with authenticity, and to commit fully to my story, my truth, and my vision. The only way for a rootless tree to thrive is to keep growing, no matter the storm as there is chaos beneath every storm.
Rootless, but rising—that’s how I live, and that’s how I lead ✍️ Photographer: @lenka_studio Make up: @beautybyjane_rodriguez @nymmg
