The Global Health Diplomacy and Security Program (GHDP) at GHI @aub_lebanon contributed to a timely discussion on “Charting the New Age of Global Health and Science Diplomacy,” co-hosted by GHI-AUB and co-moderated by Dr. Shadi Saleh and Prof. Ilona Kickbusch.

The session explored how health, science, and diplomacy can sustain international cooperation, translate scientific evidence into policy and impact, and strengthen global health engagement in an increasingly fragmented world.

From diplomatic cooperation and public trust to financing mechanisms and health sovereignty, the discussion examined key questions shaping the future of global health governance, with particular attention to the role of country ownership and the evolving relationship between the Global South and Global North.
