As I sit in my hotel room for night 4 of Drag Week, tired and stressed out about all the things I need to get done when I get home I get a video from @bdh_racing that I was not expecting. The first startup of my RX7 since 2018. I’ve hit so many snags along the way since I decided to have the 13b completely rebuilt, this whole process took way longer than I had ever expected and was really frustrating at times, but seeing it fire right up and Amoris’s smile makes all feel worth it. I can’t wait to get this thing back and actually start driving it again. Thanks to everyone that made this possible, especially my friends at @bdh_racing, without you guys I probably would have gotten rid of this car. by @ghost37_1320video

What do you think of this insane color change? This Lexus is covered in STEK’s DYNOshift-green and DYNOforged-carbon. What better combination could there be? #ppf #colorchange #wraps #offroad #stek by @ghost37_1320video

#tbt to the last time this car ran. It shot wicked fireballs with barely any effort. I’d be lying if I said that this wasn’t one of my favorite things about the car.

1 minute of steam locomotive wholesomeness from my ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway. Little bit out of the norm from what your are used to seeing me post, but it was too good not to share. by @ghost37_1320video

With me forever. This car is so more than just a car to me. It’s something that has been better to me than some of the people in my life over the years. It’s brought so many smiles to my face, it’s provided me with so many memories, it’s taken me for so many spirited drive, and brought me to so many amazing destinations. This car has been in my life for over a 1/3rd of my life, and I’m happy to say that it will stay with me for the years to come. I love this car because it reminds me of the best person that ever came into my life.
Thank you @illeetedesigns for staying up till 1:30 in the morning to get these pictures for me. We were all sleep deprived, but that didn’t stop you from getting some amazing shots. Kyle would have loved the first one so much. by @ghost37_1320video

I’ve been sitting on this video for awhile. Happy early birthday Kyle.
This video was taken right after we came back from a birthday dinner with my parents and spent some time with them afterwards at their house. Kyle found my dad’s motorcycle helmet and leaf blower in the garage on the way out. For whatever reason, he felt compelled to put on the helmet and fire up the lead blower. It took him a few tries, mainly because he didn’t turn the choke on the first few times. The smile you see on his face at the start of this video is right after he realizes that the choke wasn’t on and that it would fire right up after this next attempt. He almost blew my phone out of my hands right after. by @ghost37_1320video

Happy 44th birthday Kyle. I really wish I could say that to you in person today.

It’s already been a tough morning, so I’m going to keep this one a little shorter, just so I can get through it. If you want to help me smile today, I would really appreciate a photo of a moment you got to spend with Kyle that made you happy. Post it below, or send it to me. I can never have too many photos or videos of him.

Early on, I found out Kyle is not the easiest person to get gifts for. It’s hard to get presents for the guy who gets everything that he wants, and he really wasn’t someone who wanted a lot. I think my favorite gift that I got him was the Baja designs light bar for his 4runner. I told him, if you get a roof rack for your 4runner, I’ll get you a light bar. I wasn’t sure if he would actually do it, he wanted to keep the 4runner as stock looking as possible. Well, he did it. It was a good move on his part because the light bar was more expensive than the roof rack, and he enjoyed blinding me whenever he was driving behind me. In all seriousness, I would do it again in a heart beat. Seeing Kyle smile whenever he received any gift from me was instant gratification and a gift in and of itself. Watching Kyle mob up the mountain trails with that light bar on in Colorado and listening to him comment about how bright it was and how much he could see in the dark, made that whole trip so much better for me.

Finding good Gifts was tough, so I’d switch it up and get him experiences instead. One year it was a hot air balloon ride. Neither of us had ever been. So I thought, you know what, why not? We had to take a sunset ride, just because Kyle didn’t wake up early enough for a morning ride. It didn’t matter, the views were incredible the whole ride and it was so smooth and peaceful. He expressed to me multiple times how thankful he was for that, and it was my favorite part of the whole experience. I also knew he loved by just how much he wanted to go back and do it again. He would go on to take three more hot air balloon rides. by @ghost37_1320video

Glad to release this shirt design for his birthday, I did this through the grieving of our friend. While working with @ghost37_1320video on the 50 mile march shirt, I had an idea. I wanted to create something bright, happy and in a way embody the energy @kyle_1320video brought to this industry. There are a lot of tears on the illustration of spankbank and Kyle as I definitely went through a lot of emotions while drawing this.

This is to celebrate Kyle, this is to truly bring his energy into “art peace”, for everyone to celebrate him together.

Love you man, thank you for everything you’ve done for everyone, and I.

This video is just one of many I have of Kyle making a pull underneath a bridge. He loved doing this, if he was in one of his race cars and there was a bridge you could almost guarantee that he would be making some noise. I really miss this, I catch myself doing this all the time now. by @ghost37_1320video

Colorado… Colorado was one of Kyle’s places to visit. For a number of reasons really, but I think it was mainly to see his friend Jake Allen and just escape in the mountains. Kyle loved driving around and getting lost in the mountains. He also really loved annoying his friend Jake while he hung out with him.
It was also a point to make it out to colorado and do some hanging out and exploring in the mountains at least once a year. Luckily for us Jake and Caitlin would let us stay at their place in Colorado Springs and spend time with us. I know for a fact that after many trips into the mountains with them, Kyle finally decided on getting a 4runner so he could do some trail driving of his own. After Kyle got his 4runner, I knew I needed a trail vehicle of my own and that’s why I ended up getting a gx470. Throughout the 13 years that I knew Kyle, we went to a ton of places in Colorado. My map photo album on my phone is jam packed with photos from all over the state, which I’m very thankful for. Whether it was a Rocky Mountain raceweek, a street car takeover, a night in Mexico, or a Offroad adventure, Kyle was always super excited whenever it was time to go out there. I learned to actually enjoy the fairly boring drive from Omaha out there just because of the energy and happiness that Kyle displayed the whole way out there.

Some of the best times out there were the birthday Offroad trips. Just a bunch of good people out there in the mountains, enjoying the views, talking about nothing and everything and nothin all at the same time. I’m long overdue for one of these trips this year. In fact, it’s right around this time of year that we take these trips. Might have to take one soon.
I’d like to thank all of my friends and family for sharing so many good times in this beautiful state. In this dark time in my life, it’s really nice to have these memories to look back on and smile about by @ghost37_1320video

One of the hardest things I’ve found recently is doing things for the first time without Kyle by my side. The 50 Mile March, Power Cruise, my Birthday, Hot Summer Nights, even dinner with friends has been really hard.

A few days ago was the first night that Valas pumpkin patch was open for the season, but it was not open to just everybody. Tonight it was only open to season pass holders. Yes, I bought a season pass to a pumpkin patch. I know that might not sound like the most “adult” thing ever, but last year after listening to Kyle complain about the price of admission I decided that after 2 weekend visits to this place, a season pass would pay for itself. Judge me, I’m ok with that. I know he would have laughed at me for getting these, but I would have dragged him along with me every time I went and then laugh at him for having a good time. Aaaannnnnyways. Tonight while I was walking around, I got to see a lot of the attractions I was able to enjoy with him in the past. I think the hardest one to get through was the hanging lights. Last year I sat with him under those lights for what felt like hours, but was realistically only about 20 minutes. I can’t remember exactly what we talked about while we sat under those lights, but I do remember the moment I looked over at him and saw the smile on his face while he was enjoying the moment. Luckily, I managed to snap a photo. It’s a photo that I so grateful to have.

I snapped a photo in the same location tonight, it was a pretty difficult moment. I managed to capture my picture and move on. Thank you to Meg for being there with me tonight, it would have been a lot harder if I was by myself. I’m very fortunate to have such an amazing group of friends in my life that have showed up for me, checked in on me, and helped me out with anything that they can. I know that I owe a lot of these friendships to Kyle, he just had this incredible knack for making friends with everyone he encountered a long the way. It was truly magical watching him connect with people. I learned a lot watching him interact with others, and that’s something I intend to keep doing. by @ghost37_1320video
