2013: Nick and I meet, six months into our relationship I move in with him into his bedroom at his parents’ house in Oceanside, CA (thank you for accepting me into your home, Lynda🤍).⁣
2014: We move to Moscow, Idaho so Nick can get his Masters Degree at the University of Idaho where we lived in a duplex.⁣
2016: We move back to California, get an apartment in Laguna Niguel. I drive up north to go to college, he drives south to go to work.⁣
2019: Get married, move to an apartment in San Diego where we become parents. ⁣
2021: Move up north to an apartment in Vancouver, Washington. A place where we had every intention of settling down for good.⁣
2025: Change our minds, buy our first very (very cute) house in Chandler, Arizona where we plan to stay to be near family and friends.⁣

Last month we celebrated 12 years (6 years married) together. This month — after being fortunate enough to save for years and years and years — we celebrate becoming first time home owners! Which is like… WHOA. We’re MILLENNIALS. We made a pipe dream come true! A house with a POOL? And SOLAR PANELS?? DAWG. ⁣

Thanks to our realtor, @azianrealtor, for making the home buying process unbelievably easy and painless! I was so afraid of bidding wars and scary inspections and looking at house after house after house. But nope! She made our experience feel like an anomaly. I feel so lucky we were able to snag this house as soon as it was put on the market, and I cannot wait for all the celebrations and devastations that’ll happen inside its walls.⁣

Lots of bad shit is happening in the US right now, there’s a new “normal” taking over, but I’m so thankful for my life in spite of it all. Or maybe because of it all. I take nothing for granted.⁣

Our second trip to a pumpkin patch this year🎃 ⁣

Obviously I encourage my love of Halloween onto Revan and hope it sticks rather than repel, but his love of pu- I mean, pappies, feels entirely his own. His excitement was heartwarming, gushing over the biggest ones, kissing a select few, and even he couldn’t keep up with how many times he kept exclaiming, “Pappy! Pappy! Pappy!”⁣

So glad we could end his birthday weekend surrounded by what he loves😂🤍✨⁣

We had such a blast celebrating Revan’s 7th birthday at Legoland! Especially since he was born during the best month of the year!

I was worried that he’d be too scared of going on a rollercoaster, but lo and behold, he was a huge fan of them. Because we splurged on front-of-the-line passes, he was able to go on the same rollercoaster several times😵‍💫 He just couldn’t get enough!

I’m so glad he had such a great time, and I can’t believe he’s already 7. He amazes me with how his brain works, how inquisitive and curious he is, and how gentle he can be. He still has plenty of moments of being my precious little pain in the ass, but ya know what, he must get it from me.🤷🏻‍♀️🖤🎃🥳

Got to check out @drinkundertow’s Creature from the Black Lagoon’s pop up event so I had to bring my Creature purse. The drink’s were great and I love that kid’s are invited in before 6:00p. Revan’s first time in a bar! El oh el.🍸

I was around… 8 or 9 years old when Tales from the Crypt was introduced to me by my dad and stepmom (Season 2, Ep 1: Dead Right with Demi Moore & Jeffrey Tambor). We were in San Diego on a little vacation and they put it on while we rested after swimming in a pool. It was also around the time that I first started listening to Cher, so the two have been forever intertwined in my head.

It’s such an iconic comfort show and one of my absolute favorites. I remember when I briefly lived in Idaho, and there was a store called Hastings, where each season was being sold for only $9.99. So I spent one week after the next, watching one season at a time, until I’d purchased them all.

ANYWAY. Spooky season being upon us I’ve been binging the show again. Here are some of my favorite episodes!

I swear, thrifting for Halloween and finding a bunch of cheap treasures gives such a high. Especially when you get there before a huge herd of people start going through everything, too.😅

Didn’t buy the Lemax pieces because they weren’t in great condition, AND they wanted $10 below retail price.🙄 Sooo YEAH.

Trick-or-treating at the Phoenix Zoo!🎃🍭

I love events that are held at the zoo, especially spooky ones, duh.

We got a ton of candy! Revan loved wearing a skirt as his favorite Super Kitty! A little girl told me I was scary! Nick was asked to take a picture with a pregnant woman who painted her stomach as a JOL!😂 My friend Jack kept doing the best impression of Macho Man! My best friend and I FINALLY got some pictures together after yeeeeaaarrrs cuz we just never take pictures together??

Tonight was fun. The manic depression of the 31st creeping closer is settin' in, yo. 🥲

Happiest 6th birthday to my Revan.🤍

Every year that passes is another year that I’m just like, wow, I’m really nailing this parenthood thing of keeping him alive. I say that a lot, but it still just amazes me. He’s gone from just being my baby boy to becoming a kid with intricate thoughts, feelings, and a mind of his own. To know that Nick and I have had a hand in molding his little brain and heart into his own person just feels like such a crazy thing to think about. He’s our greatest accomplishment and I’m so eager and curious to continue seeing his growth over the years.

We spent the afternoon at a pumpkin patch with one of his favorite people, and on Saturday we’ll be throwing him a party with some family and friends. And to be able to say that, after making the move here, has been such a benefit to him to be surrounded by so much love. It’s all I wanted.
