Step right up, Adventurer, and meet your next opponent: Sheller. But don't step too close. Sheller's powers are potent. In fact, Sheller's powers of hypnosis are so strong, even Sheller gets affected by them.

This might be your strangest battle yet! How well will you keep your focus, and your mind?!

You get two attempts for this battle, Adventurer. The first time you roll, the DC is 13. If you fail... Both you and Sheller will take hits due to the confusion! Your next roll will then have a DC of 7. You've got this!

Inktober 2026 Day 18: Flightless

The screech that tears at your ears brings you to your knees. Surely there can't be something so sorrowful in the dungeon? But, alas, there is. And you're about to face him.

Zero chose his own name. A name that means nothing. Is nothing. He never speaks of what brought him here, nor why he fights so ravenously. He says he deserves the pain. And that is all.

Zero fights with feathered daggers pulled from his own wings. Or, what were his wings. Now they are naught more than bones, remnants of what used to be. Whenever feathers grow back, he plucks them for his weapons.

Roll a constitution saving throw, Adventurer. Zero will not defeat you, he will let you continue fighting him until you win. You must get a 15 or higher. How long will this tortured battle last? How many tries until you pass the check and move to the next part of the dungeon? For both of your sakes, I hope you roll well. And, as always, good luck.

Inktober 2026 Day 17: Contraption

You hear the whirring of gears over a high-pitched, giggling laughter. Scuttle loves what they do, and what they do is collect trinkets to turn them into other, more lethal trinkets. The sharper the better. There's no shortage of material in the dungeon, but there is a shortage of test subjects. That's where you come in, Adventurer, and why Scuttle is thrilled to entertain you.

Scuttle is quick and conniving. Make a dexterity saving roll. You must make a 13 or higher to move on. Don't forget your bonuses, if you have them. And don't worry, Adventurer, if you lose, you'll make Scuttle happy for as long as you live.

Inktober 2026 Day 16: Gangly

Well Adventurer, you've made it to the next obstacle in your journey. It is time for you to face Smack's brother. More feral, more fast, more haunted. This is Gangle.

The Incident years ago started when the people of their old village pushed Gangle too far. After years of torment, the final straw snapped his back and.... Well. Gangle still holds the weight of everything. He can still hear the screams, still feel the thundering of his breath as he and Smack fled. He remembers it like it was yesterday. For him, it will always be yesterday. And you, too, Adventurer, are a part of his yesterday. As you stand to challenge Gangle, you realize that he sees you as one of the people from his village. And he will rage against you in the same manner as he raged against them.

Roll your D20. A 12 or higher will lead you to victory here. If in fact you can call it that after everything.

Inktober 2026 Day 15: Hooray

You have been doing so well, Adventurer. Surely you deserve a reward! And oh how tempting is the possibility of loot. Why, you might get better armor or an enchanted weapon. You deserve this. You should go for it. After all, Celecrate doesn't always show up.

Test your luck and roll your D20. This is a flat roll, so you won't be adding that +2 here. Go on, Adventurer, see what you've won.

20: You have earned Blessing of Celecrate and gain +2 to all rolls (which means you'll have a +4 total).

18-19: You have earned High Five of Celecrate. You gain an additional +1 to your rolls (that's a +3 total).

15-17: You have won Celebration of Celecrate: Celecrate creepishly whispers encouragement and your next roll can be made with advantage.

13-14: You've obtained Leer of Celecrate. Every time you fight, you feel as if an ominous being watches over you. That's it, that's all you get.

10-12: You've found Ire of Celecrate: Roll your next roll with disadvantage. Sorry bud. But hey, at least you weren't eaten.

5-9: You have been encumbered with Folly of Celecrate: You now have -1 to all rolls (so you'll only be adding +1).

2-4: You have been encumbered with Sorrow of Celecrate: Celecrate bites your hand when you reach in, and you now have -2 to all rolls (so no more +2. Bye, friend.)

1: Celecrate flat out eats you. Your adventure ends. But, hey, on the bright side, at least it isn't smelly in there, and you'll get to watch others attempt what you have failed at, forever.

Inktober 2026 Day 14: Lady

In the long tunnels of the next chamber, you hear a rustling that summons your adrenaline. At the end of a corridor, a woman watches you with bright green eyes. She smiles, captivating your attention. You forget to turn around until it is almost too late. Behind you, a large viper lurches to strike!

Slaydy and Snacker are one and the same, but they'll fight you as if they are two separate beings. Using their environment and cunning strategy, these two have ended the adventures of many an adventurer.

The DC for here is a 12, Adventurer. Do you think you are swift and smart enough to win this one? We shall see how you do.

Inktober 2026 Day 13: Flimsy

Snip! Snip! Snip! That sharp sound greets you as you slink into the shallow chamber of your next enemy. Snip! Snip! Snip! It echoes off the rocky walls, a soft sound that thunders through you with the force of all your panic welling up at once. You are hearing ThreadReaper, the one who steals lifeforces and snips them out.

Adventurer, heed me: Do not be caught in its gaze nor its shadow. For if you are, it will be able to pull a string with your lifeforce. And then, it will hold that flimsy thread aloft. It will open its great maw and... Snip! Your HP will be zero.

Avoid ThreadReaper. Do not be seen. Do not be caught. You must roll a stealth check here, of an 11 or higher. And, Adventurer? Shhhhh.

Inktober 2026 Day 12: Toss

You descend to the second level of the dungeon and notice at once that the air gets thicker. There's the after bite of smoke and flashes of flames in the distance. Steadying yourself, you enter the next chamber and face your new opponent.

Flamancer is quite the flashy one! They want everything to be a good show, even the fighting. They secrete sentient flames that have a mind of their own. Flamancer even names them. Watch out, though: they might be adorable but they won't show you mercy, especially when they're tossed right at your face.

To defeat Flamancer and their gaggle of fiery sprites, you'll have to roll a 10 or higher. And remember, you have a +2! Hope you burn bright, Adventurer.
