Dear Diggler,

It's been two weeks since you left this world & I'm still not sure where to begin this since there are no words, in this language or any other, that can accurately describe my feelings for you. It was almost ten years ago you stumbled into my life, when I was freshly 30 & you weren't even 1 yet. In those first moments of meeting you, I knew our paths had been destined to cross. That Ross & I could give you the care & the love that you truly needed to shine in this life. What I couldn't have known in those first moments were all the ways you would go on to inspire me. You were a baby when you had your first major surgery & watching you learn how to walk again was truly remarkable. Little did I know this would happen four more times over the course of your life. But every single time, no matter how big the surgery or how hard the recovery, you made it through with your infectious little spirit in tact, & you always managed to come out the other side stronger. To say you are the bravest & most resilient soul I will ever have the pleasure of knowing is an understatement. You showed me what real strength looks like, how to be happy through the hard times, & the true meaning of the word courageous. You journeyed with me through an entire decade of my life, took your daddies over the finish line & into our 40's, & were the most loving & loyal little buddy all the while. The cards you were dealt in this life were hard & unfair, but you never for one second let it stop you from being the zaniest, zestiest, most hilarious little button that ever buttoned. The only solace I take in your leaving this world is that I know how tired you were in those last few days, how worn out your body was despite your little spirit still burning bright. Your physical being on this earth took you as far as it could & now I know you're somewhere better, at peace & free from pain & discomfort. Still, 10 & a half years with you just wasn't enough. I wanted a hundred. So many memories together, of road trips to the desert, splashing through the Great Salt Lake, hiking to the tops of mountains with you in a backpack, running joyfully along sandy beaches...(Cont. in comments) by @ghostthatstillwalks

What are we renting for Halloween weekend!? 🎃📼💀 #vhs #vhscollection #blockbuster #halloween #videostore by @ghostthatstillwalks

Tagged by @heizuz for a movies that made me stack. Every movie in this picture I had seen before my 8th birthday, so to say these were pivotal to my youth would be an understatement. Thanks to grandparents who had no rules, I was given carte blanche at the video store & literally allowed to rent anything I wanted. And boy, did I know what I wanted. 🖤💀✌️ #vhs #vhscollection #halloween #blockbuster #horror by @ghostthatstillwalks

I generally try & use October as an excuse to watch things I've never seen before, but sometimes you just gotta bust out that comfort stack. 🖤📼💀 #halloween #october #spookyseason #autumn #vhs by @ghostthatstillwalks
