πŸͺ¨ Congrats. Your algorithm landed you here, with a seasoned ever-evolving Goldsmith that is a huge nerd, a serial learner (don't worry, I'll drag you along), loves being outside as much as she likes being in her jewelry studio, and is always taking side quests. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Hit β™₯️ and Follow for more shenanigans, and especially if you like my jewelry I make with my own two mitts. πŸ₯ΉπŸ€Ÿ

Ps- yes, you are correct. it's ADHD. Which translates to never boring and plenty of random factoids 🀣 And rocks. Lots of rocks. taken in Nevada by @ghosttownmetalworks

Conscious Engagement RingsπŸ’A Sunday Kind of Love. πŸ₯° In bespoke White Gold - featuring a pair of stones that are special... πŸ’Žβ›οΈ One is regional (Montana Sapphire) and the other is Vintage/old stock (White Topaz). Hand crafted by me out of 18K &14K White Gold in my home studio in the high desert of Nevada, in the foothills of some epic mountains. πŸ₯° Consciously choosing stones is so important to me! It means supporting other small businesses with my own small business, and taking sustainability + sourcing into consideration.

Join me on the journey of the final stages of making this ring, and see all the pics at the end πŸ₯Ή I am really enjoying getting more and more into engagement and wedding rings. I've dabbled over the years, but 2026 is a year that I'd love to focus on them some more. I am even taking a engraving class this June.

So thankful for this custom! So pumped on how it turned out. It was a welcome challenge - setting those stones was so good.
Thanks again, Cam! And congratulations to you two love birds. Thanks to everyone for all the love on yesterday's unveiling post πŸ₯ΉπŸ’•πŸ™It makes my heart overflow! taken in Elko County by @ghosttownmetalworks

2025 ↔️ Swipe to see GTMW pretties, and also see some of my amazing people rocking GTMW pieces and GTMW swag.
πŸ€” I've been trying to post about 2025 for a week.

But then I spent *hours* sorting through pictures from 2025-- full of me and my loved ones, smiling faces, pretty jewels, loose stones, art, pets, adventures, wilderness, customer pictures, screen grabs of kind messages sent to me.

It means so much when you spend your hard earned money on my work or on merch to support my business and my family. Thank you for helping not only fill our fridge, but thank you for keeping this dream of mine alive. I'm just a month shy of being 9 years into GTMW, and I'm not going anywhere. I can't wait to see what 2026 holds for me, my loved ones, my business, and for all of you. I tried to tag everyone, but 20 is the max. So. Sorry πŸ˜…

I cannot thank my customers/clients/supporters/cheerleaders enough. Thanks to those that shopped my pieces through @thebowrack .

Thank you to all my custom clients for being patient with not only the process of designing and jewelry making, but patient with ME as a human- a micro business, a wife, and a mom raising kids. Thank you for extending grace for rare instances projects took longer than I guessed, unforseen project complications, or kids sick, or family emergency. Thank you for sending messages when things arrived safely and telling me how in love you are with your pieces πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’žπŸ€Ÿ And the ones sending me pics of you rocking your pieces- please never stop.

I wouldn't trade my client base for the world. There's a reason I become friends with ya'll - it's because God has sent the kindest, most genuinely grateful and graceful humans my way.

A moment of vulnerability...
I'm sometimes pretty dang hard on myself...not feeling like I'm doing enough, not balancing work/family life/homeschooling/and just *life* well enough, or maybe something is not quite perfect enough. Not grinding enough, but also not resting enough, or recreating in nature enough. I realized I did everything I could in 2025. It felt like an "off" year- yet, look at all this amazing jewelry I created for rad humans. πŸ†

I love you all.

Many blessings,
Charity taken in Elko, Nevada by @ghosttownmetalworks

Lots of movement, lots of happy, lots of hope tucked into this piece. All the charms are able to be removed, rotated as she pleases- Solid sterling lobster clasps make sure of it πŸ₯°

πŸŒ¬οΈπŸ‚ Exciting things to come for Ghost Town Metal Works - that give a nod to this current high desert home of mine πŸ₯° Can you guess what I was doing with that green stuff? 🀣

An almost-6-mile alpine Sunrise hike with my dear friend Tina @tina_bearandbadge and her awesome daughter Addie... into the wilderness, so we could spend a morning up at the lake being creative, soaking in the stillness while we recharged. We had the place to ourselves most of the time. 🎊 We love living where we live. πŸ₯ΎπŸžοΈ

🐾 Meet: the Administrative Assistant for Ghost Town Metal Works. This one has followed me everywhere ever since we rescued him a little over 4 years ago. He's my shadow and always overseeing what I'm up to. 🐾 He weighs as much as an adult human (165lbs). He thinks he *is* a human. He will try to sit on the couch (or your lap) like one. πŸ˜† And he is constantly in my business 🀣 Anyone wondering - this is what a Great Dane x Mastiff can look like. He's an oaf and I love him.

πŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸ¦β€β¬›πŸ¦ŽπŸžπŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ¦πŸͺΆ Animals (wild and domestic) have always been a part of my life- whether it's been as pets (my family!), my previous career in the domesticated animal veterinary field, volunteering to help with wildlife rehabilitation and release, educational obsession, or for wildlife research and conservation. πŸ¦¨πŸ€πŸ¦«πŸ¦ŒπŸ¦πŸ¦…πŸ

I used to have a red-eared slider turtle in college. 🐒🌊 I want a turtle again. 🐸🫧 Lisa @lisabear7 and I also had snuck fish and frogs into our dorm room (sorry, R.A. Ellie...this is what happens when they let the pre-veterinary track students be roommates...and Lisa IS now a veterinarian!). But right now we'll stick to the dogs, the fish, the chickens, our wildlife visitor friends, and the plants for the mini homestead πŸ•πŸ πŸ“πŸͺ΄πŸ•ΈοΈπŸ¦‡πŸ¦‰πŸͺ²πŸ•ŠοΈ

🐚🌊πŸͺΈDid you know Nevada used to be an ancient seafloor?! Then eventually, Ancient Lake Lahontan covered the majority of the state (as fresh water). And eventually, you are where we are today in the Great Basin. In a nutshell 🀣

The marine fossil evidence remains, especially in our desert mountains. And it's so fun to go explore. You may find bivalves, coral, and even Ichthyosaurus! What.🀯

⛏️My kiddo and I were invited along on a fossil adventure, and it was a blast. We were able to bring home a small amount of some super cool specimens... Along with a handful of some beautiful minty green Jasper. 😌 They will be in our curio cabinet for generations to come...and may be inspiring some GTMW pieces in the near future 🀫🀫🀫 by @ghosttownmetalworks

"It's so comfortable.", "I never want to take it off.", "I barely notice it is there." "This was so worth the wait." General consensus feedback I get πŸ₯Ή Which is not taken for granted on my end.

The process is more emotional for me than you'd probably think. Carefully, lovingly moving along the path until I reach the finish line. taken in Margaritaville Las Vegas Blvd by @ghosttownmetalworks

πŸ—οΈ Skeleton Keys πŸ” I've had this idea in my books for almost a decade. It's so ✨ Ghost Town✨. I experimented with a different mold material this round.

At least 4 generations in my husband's family these keys have been handed down, alongside the locks/furniture they go to. I use my dresser every day that my in-laws gifted me to me (last slide). Arron and I are obsessed with antiques.

I'd never cut into a mold before that isn't transparent. It's given me a new appreciation for mold cutting when you're going in without seeing where you're going 🀣 it's like flying blind! I butchered it a bit, but it somehow still worked. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ We'll do a better one hahaha. Do over!

Recharging πŸͺ«πŸ”πŸ”‹. Last minute camping, only minutes from the doorstep. Throw the stuff in the truck and go. We will always intentionally live places that have the feeling of nature immersion within a short drive from our home. It is what we need. We have raised our boys to appreciate the outdoors.

We adore doing the elaborate, multi day, backpacking trips. We usually do a substantial family backpacking trip into a different alpine lake every fall. We've made it an annual tradition.

It's not always feasible with work schedules or if someone is nursing an injury. So we find compromises when we need to, because it's so much better than just not going at all.

Arron and I both are on such busy schedules for now, and I am still working on getting my connective tissue back to a place where it can handle the intense Backcountry adventures again that we enjoy so much.
πŸ’ͺI'll be there by next backpacking season πŸ˜‰ This scratched the itch for the moment, and I was able to come back home for a chunk of time every day to work. Compromises πŸ‘Œ So thankful to live where we live. taken in Elko County by @ghosttownmetalworks

I have been incredibly blessed in this career of mine... closing in on 10 years in Feb 2027. Carrie is someone that I wanted to give a shout-out to, and have it be a permanent part of my grid. Thank you so much, Carrie, for your love, support, and friendship over the years.

She has literally been there since the beginning of Ghost Town Metal Works (she snagged some work from the get-go as presents and for herself!).

But we've also been in each other's lives since we were kids. We both grew up with dads who started small businesses in our little rural Nevada town. Carrie was usually hanging at the Ace Hardware- her family's business. Which explains why she is so dang handy and knows SO MUCH.

It is pretty rare to not only keep friends from childhood through to adulthood, but to have them be a constant presence of encouragement and support. I am so lucky to have Carrie and a handful of Yerington friends that have stood behind me all those years. And who were first in line to buy pieces when I started this venture, and first to speak my name to others as referrals. It is seriously one of the deepest points of gratitude in my life. Thank you, Carrie! And for being so good at sending sweet texts and pictures reminding me why I do this πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯° taken in Bismarck , North Dakota by @ghosttownmetalworks
