Day 1

My. Arm. Hurts.

Time flies like crazy, can't believe Code Geass had reached its 20th anniversary and I am as old as Pokemon.

Also glad life worked out so I can afford attending FLOW the Festival without relying on photosynthesis.

Welcome Act - Sunset Swish

Almost didn't make it on time, would beat myself up internally if we missed it. They sound beautiful, their live was so much more beautiful than the recording. Everyone went crazy for Mosaic Kakera and My Pace.

Act 1 - Survive Said The Prophet

Reverse listening test, there was so much English I almost did a proud hair flip. Such a complete show, the lighting, the arrangement, just chef's kiss. Super surprised that they did Speak of the Devil even though Masato wasn't there.

Act 2 - Home Made 家族

They just came back from a long hiatus so the talk got a bit emotional, however, it doesn't change the fact that they are awesome. We will never stop 咲かそう.

Side Stage - Project Leap!

Pretty cute and energetic if you are into idols and voice actresses.

Act 3 - 打首獄門同好会

It's meme time!!!! Can't get enough of them. The backstory of how they got invited to the festival was so funny. Basically they met FLOW at an event and they were both expressing their love for each other. Then FLOW was like we would love to have you at our upcoming event but you guys are not in the anisong circle. Uchikubi then goes, "Our songs were all animated, don't they count as anisong?" They were just so fun to watch and sing along.

Side Stage - DJ Koo

Wotagei time! This year they have three standing area and the dance have never been crazier.

Act 4 - Granrodeo

Great as ever, no The Other Self this time though.

Side Stage - Anisong Corner

No one knew what it was and then 5 fans just came up to the stage and sang their favorite(?) anisong. They all sounded great until Kitadani Hiroshi showed and covered Cry Baby and as a bonus, We Are!

Act 5 - Raise A Suilen

Bang Dreamers unite!

Final Act - FLOW

Again, my arm...hurts! So many parts to sing along, so many fist pump, you guys have to come to Japan in June just for this.

First and last time

By the time I got to Japan, ScReW had already disbanded and not being able to cross them off my to watch list would have remained a regret.

My excitement was over 9000 when they announced this 20th anniversary live with the original line up AND the second gen members (minus Manabu), I knew I had to go no matter what.

They played some of their old music videos in the back and that's always a tear jerker for me.

Also, how are they all still so beautiful after all these years?

Although it might be my imagination, but I shall softly believe that Kazuki, Yuuto, and Jin was actually talking TO me during mosh pit kek.

Thank you for this great memory, ScReW on!(?) taken in 赤羽ReNY alpha by @ghostype_goose

This year is Nightmare's 25th anniversary, I was there for 22 out of 25.

Many adults in my life had this prediction about me, visual kei is just a phase, you will grow out of it.

News flash, I didn't.

The fact that I am still the same weird kid that discovered great musicians from anime and YouTube is surprising even for me, which is probably why I teared up at their very first song.

Guys, if you want to crush my heart, just ask, you don't have to play your music videos and footage from years ago in the back as you perform.

Every image reminds me of time, how much has passed, how much I missed, and how much we've grown.

Thank you, Nightmare, for still being here through thick and thin.

Emo time over, here comes the screaming.

THEY PERFORMED TOKYO SHONEN, ALUMINA, RAISON D'ETRE, AND THE WORLD!!!!

My live song list is almost complete, I am close to being at peace.

Yomi's voice is so beautiful, so beautiful that there are times when I want to mute the other instruments. XD taken in 日本武道館（Nippon Budokan） by @ghostype_goose

1. The story behind the eye patch Alice: I can only draw one eye, that is my curse.

2. In all the Culture Festivals I have attended, this is the first time I made the leader's board at the casino. I have finally become a master of Black Jack.

3. It was 100 degrees, this look lasted a minute outside. (ry by @ghostype_goose

My money saving "hack".

Hair stylist: Thank you for your business and donation, please come again soon.

Me: Thank you too, see you in a couple years.

Post office

Staff: What is in this envelope? (Holds a suspiciously puffy envelope)

Me (summer melted brain mode): Kami.

I probably should have said kami no ke instead of just kami.

Flow the Festival 2025

I've finally recovered enough to write this down.

Day 1 - John's dream come true

6/14's ensemble is definitely ticking off more of John's concert check list than mine, he was wiggling like a noodle when Sanpomaster came out.

First day highlight - DOES

They did ALL of their Gintama songs and played the animation during 曇天. It was so hype I almost died. Bucket list, checked.

Day 2 - The day when every muscle will hurt

Act 1 - Blue Encount

At first we were like who are they, never heard of them. But we actually have heard a lot of their songs, just never associated the band and the songs together. For some reason we were worried that they wouldn't perform DAYxDAY and kept saying we will cry if they don't. They did their Gintama songs, no tears were shed. Also, Polaris was awesome.

Important note: Tanabe Shunichi and Oishi Masayoshi are two different person. :p

Act 2 - Back On

Back On is back as an actual guest and not secret guest!

Act 3 - Flumpool

They did that song, now I can't sleep at night.

Act 4 - OxT

This time Oishi Masayoshi came with his band mate, Tom H@ck, so he won't be doing his solo songs. But...no one said he can't slip Welcome to Japaripark in his rehearsal.

Side stage - Studio Hisashi

Yoooooo this is the most epic side stage, vocalist from each band came out to do a bonus song with Hisashi, I feel bad for those who missed it.

Act 5 - GRANRODEO

My energy were drained at this point but I CAN DO it. Still waiting for the day they would do Rose Hip-Bullet.

Final Act - FLOW

It is not a FLOW concert if you don't end the show with "We are fighting dreamers~".

Secret guest - Lelouch Vi...scratch that, Fukuyama Jun

He was the narrator of the show but when he suddenly appeared in person, we were all shocked.

Day 2

Fully prepared for wotagei today, but my penlight is still from Tales of Festival kek. (It was totally worth it because Tales of Zestiria was on screen when Flow sang 風ノ唄) I was waving my Tales of penlight in blue like crazy when Sorey and Mikleo showed up.

ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D

Very chill performance, nice finishing touch with Complication.

BURNOUT SYNDROMES

FLY HIGH!! reminded me of a funny memory.

Scandal

They were awesome! Finally 少女S live and not on Taiko.

Omenz

They are very talented and their song was catchy.

Orange Range

Kind of sad they didn't do 02 or 以心電信.

DJ シーザー

He really got the wotagei gang going.

JAM Project

Power! Get the power! I can listen to their high notes all day.

Creepy Nuts

Instantly turned the arena from anisong to a rap concert, so chill, so gentle and not creepy at all. R指定 going, "I know we order you guys around a lot, like jump, sing, louder! But we just want you to have a good time, you don't have to if you don't want to." XD

Yes, the whole arena bling bling-ed to Bling-Bang-Bang-Born.

Flow

They definitely chilled out on day 2, sang many hits that might not make it to the oversea setlist. I also teared up when ブレイブルー came on. Like of course they will sing Days but ブレイブルー too?! I was floored.

Go!! Feat Creepy Nuts had no business being this good.

Never in my wildest dream did I expect to hear We Are live.

Special performance

Because the great Kageyama Hironobu was there, of course we are getting an all star version Cha La Head Cha La.

It was hard waking up on a Saturday but you just have to push through for this god tier setlist.

Flow the Festival day 1 was a wrap and it was fire!

Opening act - Argonavis

Wasn't very interested in them at first but I didn't want to miss any performance just to stand in the merch line. Extremely glad we bailed from the intestine midway because they covered Kaze no Uta!!

Second act - GRANRODEO

What else can you say when Granrodeo open with Can Do and close with The Other self?

Side stage - REAL AKIBA BOYZ

Conventions need to invite them, mad entertaining and talented. They revived the dead LoveLiver inside me when they breakdanced to 僕らは今のなかで.

Fourth act - SPYAIR

Imagination is great but Some Like It Hot just has a special place in my little samurai heart.

Side stage - DJ ピエール中野

It was a nice pregame for day two, definitely wasn't expecting Cha La Head Cha La and Bling-Bang-Bang-Born today.

Fifth act - KANA-BOON

KANA-BOON was so cute! They said they are still rehearsing but it sounds so good already. They also sang a snippet of Rewrite and then ended with an, "Oops that's not my song". When they mentioned they have something in common with FLOW, I immediately knew what they were going to say but they surprised me with a feature performance. THEY SANG SILHOUETTE WITH FLOW!

Side note: I thought I only knew Silhouette but totally forgot about Song of the Dead. XD

Sixth act 4:40 - オーイシマサヨシ

Not familiar with him but when he started singing, I've realized that I had heard his songs before in passing (maybe on Taiko or some stores were playing it in the back). His energy and voice is definitely not a 44 year old when he rocked サインはＢ.

Final act - FLOW

Freaking FLOW...they have no chill, just hits after hits. There was no smell of BO until they had us pumping our fist and jumping non stop.

Secret Guest - BACK-ON

Funny we started the month with BACK-ON at Tales of Festival and we end the month with more gacha gacha.

Hey!! hits extra hard when it is BACK-ON FLOW.

Ending:

Everyone except SPYAIR came back to the stage and performed 7-seven- together, it was magical.

Report over, will be covered in salonpas.
