Hard to believe how many hours Yas & I have spent with each other via this little device over the past few years; looking, laughing, crying & trying our very best to hold each other close from so far away…

Beginning my 29th trip around the sun filled with gratitude for being alive, in good health & surrounded by love on this beautiful planet.

These past two months living in Tunis have provided me with both the time & space to process, mourn & meditate on the various deaths that have shaken my world this past year.

Death of a family member, death of certain relationships, death of perceived progress in healing my body, death of a significant chapter of my life & ultimately the death of my childhood.

Through all of this I've come to realize just how much self-hatred I've held inside of my mind & body these past handful of years and how far from myself & my joy I've fallen.

Giving myself time & space away from "home", "productivity" & the same vicious circles & ruminations has brought me the forgiveness & vocabulary to begin to fall back in love with myself & the world around me.

So so thankful for the people in my life who have cared for me along the way. You all make every moment of this life worth living.

Looking forward to celebrating those lives that have passed & sharing more of my joys/pains/triumphs/failures/ideas/creations with you all along the way. by @gia2karlo
