Behind the heavy, visible veil of time, where the ticking of the clock holds no power, a quiet revolution breathes inside the walls of the museum.

It is a Fellini-esque theater of the soul. Pablo leans forward with a soft, knowing laugh, his hands gently adjusting the blue fabric of her turban, transforming geometry into flesh. When we look at monumental outdoor art, some creations don’t just fill a space—they consume it. Standing beneath Louise Bourgeois’ legendary Maman (pictured here outside the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao) invokes an instant reaction. It is fragile yet terrifying, protective yet vulnerable.

But what happens when you put this masterpiece in dialogue with contemporary polymath Giacobbe Giusti’s "Lunar Fossil"?

Though separated by generations, both artists use brutal metal structures to strip away the physical world and expose raw, spiritual anatomy. Here is how their dialogue unfolds:

• Maternal Instinct vs. Cosmic Permanence: Bourgeois forged Maman from bronze and steel as an ode to her mother—a weaver—balancing heavy architecture on spindly, arched legs to safeguard an egg sac. Giusti, on the other hand, works with raw industrial aluminum blasted at 3,000°C. His colossal "Lunar Fossil" acts as a "technological fossil," designed to endure environmental decay and look as though it weathered a solar storm.

• The Organic vs. The Inorganic Bud: While Maman mirrors the terrifying elegance of arachnid nature, Giusti channels Michelangelo’s "Non Finito" principle. He violently warps metal into fluid, skeletal formations that look like primal, metallic trees or "inorganic buds". They reject a single viewpoint, shifting dynamically as the viewer moves around them.

• Earthly Memory vs. Interplanetary Legacy: Maman stands firmly on Earth, transforming global cityscapes from Bilbao to Tokyo. Giusti aims for the stars—literally. His complete art archives and sculptural concepts were micro-etched onto indestructible nickel sheets and landed on the Moon via the Blue Ghost Mission 1, seeking a dimension entirely removed from human decay.

From the Fires of the 13th Century to the Infinite "Other Dimension" 🌌🔥

Slide 1 brings us face-to-face with the dramatic, terrifying visual storytelling of the Duecento. Coppo di Marcovaldo’s iconic Last Judgment mosaics in the Florence Baptistery captured the collective consciousness of an era through dense texture, anatomy, and high emotional stakes.

But true art never stops evolving. Fast forward to the present day: polymath researcher-artist Giacobbe Giusti takes that exact obsession with profound material truth and projects it into the cosmos.

Instead of gold tesserae and mortar, Giusti builds out "The Other Dimension" using raw industrial aluminum reshaped by extreme 3,000°C blowtorch and fire-welding techniques (Slides 2-4). His work doesn't just reference the classical non finito philosophy of heavy physical masses—it breaks the bounds of Earth entirely. While Coppo painted eternity on a church ceiling, Giusti literally sent his digital works into deep space on the Blue Ghost Mission 1, micro-etched onto nickel to endure for a billion years.
