Featuring Artists Gianluca Cescon and Jonathan Schmidt in Conversation — Part I

In this first chapter, Gianluca Cescon reflects on the origins of his creative process and the environments that continue to shape it.

For Cescon, the Caribbean—its light, landscapes, textures, and rhythms—is an enduring source of inspiration. Creation does not always begin with a predetermined idea; sometimes, it begins by simply sitting still, observing, and allowing whatever is within reach to become a tool, a material, or a starting point.

This conversation took place at Maison Beijos, where a selection of works by Gianluca Cescon is currently featured.
