Now! «Greenland not for sale – Kalaallit Nunaat forever» at Frankfurter Kunstverein. Until October 11th, 2026.

The extensive video work, spanning over 800 sqm, tells of contemporary Greenland in transformation and shows how Greenlanders debate and shape the present and future of their country in a globalized world. At FKV the work is presented in dialog with the activist art of the Greenlandic artist @julieedelhardenberg and the film «Stella Polaris Ulloriarsuaq» produced by @laalilyberth and @svennieder

The 4 hours videos parcours was produced by the filmmaker @giansuhner and his team together with ALPS, Switzerland and numerous partners in Kalaallit Nunaat.

The work is the result of three extended research and shooting trips to Greenland / Kalaallit Nunaat in 2023 and 2024. In dialog with people from Kullorsuaq, Sisimiut, Ilulissat, Nuuk, Narsaq, Qassiarsuk, and Qaqortoq, the interviews and documentary loops on display explore the friction points between climate change, a growing tourism industry, the interests of global players in the mining of rare earths and Greenlandic self-determination. And tells of the many ways Greenlanders support each other in processes of decolonization and emancipation.

Great gratitude to all the people being part and supporting this project and the best team in Berne, Frankfurt, Berlin and on site. Qujanaq!

Coming soon: „Grönland - Not for sale – Kalaallit Nunaat Forever“ (Frankfurt, 19.06 - 11.10.2026)

Opening: 18. Juni 2026, 17:30 Uhr
