Most agencies will tell you they can get you leads.
Almost none of them will tell you what happens after.

That's the part nobody talks about — the lead that comes in, sits in an inbox, and never gets followed up on. The campaign that spikes for a month and then quietly dies. The "results" that look great in a screenshot and mean nothing for your bank account.

We didn't build Gidds Media to win at vanity metrics. We built it to fix the actual problem: most service businesses don't have a marketing system — they have a pile of disconnected tactics.

Google Ads without a landing page that converts. SEO with no plan to turn rankings into calls. Ad spend with no idea which dollar is doing the work.

A system means every piece talks to the other. The ad brings the click, the page earns the call, the tracking tells you exactly what to do next. That's not glamorous. It's just how growth compounds instead of resetting every 30 days.

250+ service businesses. Multiple industries. One approach that doesn't change: strategy first, systems over shortcuts, revenue over impressions.

Ranking #1 on Google felt like the finish line.
For this Austin turf company, it was barely the starting block.

They had traffic. What they didn't have was leads that actually converted — inconsistent, expensive, and no system behind them. Just referrals and hope.

So we rebuilt it from the ground up:

→ Full account audit
→ Restructured campaigns for better targeting
→ High-intent keywords only — no wasted spend
→ Landing pages built to convert, not just look nice
→ Real conversion tracking (leads, not clicks)

90 days later:

3X qualified leads.
 40% lower cost-per-click.
 25% higher conversion rate.
#1–#2 on the map across central Austin.

This is what happens when strategy comes before spend.

We've sat across the table from a lot of business owners who've been burned before.
Paid an agency for six months. Got a nice-looking report. Never actually grew.

That's not a coincidence — it's the default outcome when an agency is optimizing for a different goal than you are. They're optimizing for retainer renewals. You're trying to run a business.

So here's where we draw the line:

We won't chase a lead spike that disappears in month two. We won't hand you a dashboard full of numbers that don't mean anything to your P&L. We won't sell you brand awareness when what you actually need is the phone to ring.

What we will do is build something that compounds — campaigns, pages, and reporting that get smarter the longer we work together, not weaker.

Strategy before tactics. Systems over short-term wins. Partnership over transactions. That's not a tagline — it's the only way growth actually sticks.

If you're done with agencies that optimize for themselves, we should talk.

🚀 DM us to get started.

Turf is a big purchase, and most homeowners get a few quotes before they choose anyone. So the company that shows up on Google and answers first usually has the advantage, and that matters more than how many leads come in.

Most of the work on this account was tightening who the ads reach and what happens when they click. Fewer wasted clicks and a page that gets people to call do more for a turf company than a bigger budget does.

If you want to see what that could look like for your business, book a strategy call. We’ll look at your market together and you’ll leave with a plan. by @giddsmedia

Ask an agency what happens after someone clicks your ad and the answer tells you a lot.

Getting the click is the part everyone does. The lead then goes into a form, a phone line, or an inbox, and what happens in the next few minutes decides whether it turns into a job. A fast text-back and a clear record of where each booking came from are boring to set up. They’re also where a lot of ad spend either pays off or quietly disappears.

That’s why we set up tracking and follow-up on every account, and why we only work with local service businesses. A turf install, a junk removal and a ceramic coating job are different sales. Treating them the same is how ads end up sending the wrong people to the right business.

If you’re not sure what happens to a lead after it comes in, that’s a good place to start a strategy call.

Most agency websites talk about clicks and impressions. The companies we work with don’t care about either. They care about whether the schedule is full.

That’s the filter we try to run everything through. A report can look great and still not mean anything if nobody can point to the jobs it produced. So the numbers worth tracking are the ones an owner can check against their own calendar and bank account: calls answered, jobs booked, revenue that came from the ads.

It’s also why the first conversation is built around your numbers rather than a pitch about ours. We look at your market, your competitors, and what you’re getting from your marketing today. You leave with a plan you can use, whether you work with us or not. by @giddsmedia

SEO has a reputation for being slow, and that’s fair. What’s less talked about is that it rarely moves in a straight line either.

For the first few weeks, a lot of the work is invisible. Pages get written, listings get corrected, links get added, and the map looks the same as it did before. Then rankings start shifting, and often several areas improve close together rather than one at a time. That’s why checking in after two weeks and feeling like nothing’s happening is common, and usually too early to judge.

It also helps to know what you’re measuring. A business ranking well near its own address and poorly everywhere else can look fine on a quick search. Tracking over time is what shows whether the work is spreading out across the service area.

If you’re partway through an SEO effort and it feels quiet, that doesn’t always mean it isn’t working. A strategy call is a good time to look at what’s been done and what the numbers show so far.

Most business owners can tell you how much they're spending on ads. Fewer can tell you exactly where that money's going, or why.

That gap is usually the first thing worth closing. A strategy call means actually looking at the account — what's converting, what's wasting budget, what a focused plan would look like from here. Specific answers about your numbers, not general advice that could apply to anyone.

Three months ago, this was a moving and junk removal business getting by on the jobs that came their way. Now the owner's saying the phone doesn't stop ringing — including calls for some of their biggest jobs yet.

That shift usually isn't dramatic from the inside. It's a steady build: more calls, more bookings, a schedule that starts filling up weeks out instead of day to day. By the time it's obvious something changed, it's already been working for a while.

8x return on ad spend is the number. "Getting calls all day" is what that number actually feels like running the business.

Most marketing conversations have an unspoken assumption built in: if the numbers aren't where they should be, something about the ads must be wrong.

That's sometimes true. But there are really two separate questions here — is the ad reaching the right people, and what happens after they call or fill out a form? Those need different fixes. Fixing the wrong one first usually means the real problem doesn't get solved, even after something changes.

A strategy call is really just that conversation, out loud, with someone looking at the whole path instead of just the part that's easiest to point to. by @giddsmedia

Most of what actually happens in an account every week isn't exciting enough to screenshot. It's checking the same handful of things, over and over, and most weeks finding nothing worth changing.

That's easy to mistake for neglect from the outside. No update, no dramatic before-and-after, nothing that looks like "work" in the way people expect. But the alternative — an account that only gets looked at when something's already gone wrong — usually costs more in the long run than a quiet week ever does.

The value isn't in constant changes. It's in knowing, every week, whether a change is actually needed. by @giddsmedia

Ranking #1 gets attention. Staying there doesn't, which is probably why almost nobody talks about it.

There's a quiet assumption that once a business reaches the top spot, the work is basically done. In practice, rankings move on their own — competitors update their profiles, algorithms shift, a listing that looked fine six months ago quietly falls out of date. A business that stops paying attention after a win is usually the business that loses the win, just slowly enough that nobody notices until a competitor's already ahead.

Five months of holding steady across nearly 50 tracked locations isn't a flashy result to post about. It's just proof that nothing got neglected once the hard part was already done.
