We did not like each other from afar when we first met because of prejudice.😠😖😫😡

However, From the very first time I had an actual interaction with you, our perceptions about each other immediately changed.
We chit-chatted🗣️ from Dusk to Dawn the same day. 👄Talking about everything and nothing. (It's become a habit between us, even after over 14years)
We opened up our souls to each other day.
We confided in each other immediately and shared secrets we hadn't mentioned to anyone before. ❤️

Turned out we had a whole lot in common than we ever imagined.
It was as if I had known you forever.

I had had ~best~ friends(or so I thought) before you hun, but you redefined the Word *BESTFRIEND*.

Your Unwavering loyalty👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩 to me through thick and thin is mind boggling🧠.

I could go on and on and on, but to cut long story short✍🏾, I bless the day you walked🐾 into my life Rakia. I'm immensely grateful 🙏🏾 for your F.R.I.E.N.D.S.H.I.P 👭🏽.

One of the ugliest signs of our time is this: FRIENDSHIP NO LONGER FEELS SAFE 😢

People don’t just leave anymore.
Thhey leave with screenshots, voice notes, and private pain, ready to turn trust into a weapon. Every confession, every tear, every vulnerable moment gets stored like future ammunition.

That is not friendship.

A real friend guards your secrets even when the friendship dies. Loyalty is not proven in good times. It is proven when things fall apart.

There was a time when friends protected each other’s dignity. Now too many people chase public sympathy instead of private integrity.

Not every fallout needs an audience.

Not every hurt needs to be posted.

Not every private conversation deserves to become evidence.

Having the receipts does not mean you should use them. Sometimes character is choosing silence when exposure would be easy.

Friendship should never feel like a trap. It should be a place where you can be vulnerable without fearing your lowest moment will become someone else’s content.

Real friends may walk away, but they do not turn cruel. They leave with grace. They honor what was trusted to them.

If someone gave you their fears, their tears, their truth, keep it sacred. Trust is not a weapon.

In a world addicted to drama, choose loyalty. Protect dignity. Because true friendship is not proven by how loudly you loved someone while they were close.
It is proven by how carefully you handle them after they are gone.

Some wounds don't come from strangers.
They come from the very people you once carried on your shoulders.

There are older siblings who quietly sacrifice their youth so their younger ones can have a future. They put their own dreams on hold, skip opportunities, endure sleepless nights, and shoulder burdens that were never meant to be theirs. They become parents while their own parents, through no fault of their own, are unable to provide because of life's financial hardships.

They give not because it's easy, but because love leaves them with no other choice.
That is why betrayal from those same younger siblings cuts so deeply. It isn't just disappointment; it's heartbreak. It's watching years of sacrifice be forgotten, kindness repaid with disrespect, and unconditional love met with indifference. Nothing hurts more than realizing the people you poured yourself into no longer remember the hands that lifted them when they couldn't stand on their own.

No one is asking for worship or lifelong repayment. But gratitude should never expire. Respect should never disappear. And the bridges built with sacrifice should never be burned with pride, selfishness, or betrayal.
Never forget the people who stood between you and hardship when they didn't have to. Success means little if it comes at the cost of forgetting those who sacrificed so you could have a chance to succeed. Some debts can never truly be repaid, but they should never be repaid with betrayal. by @giftrack1
