🎟️ Our Boat is screening Thursday, July 20th at 7:45pm at the Regal L.A live in downtown Los Angeles. Come celebrate with us!

The film is inspired by the Vogue UK magazine published in March 1966, featuring Donyale Luna, one of the first black supermodels and the first black woman to appear on the cover of any Vogue magazine.
The iconic cover image shows Luna covering most of her face with her own hand, which was allegedly a request of the magazine's editors to help mask her ethnicity.
Our boat is also inspired by my own personal experience in being a black woman in this world, in being an immigrant in America and by some past relationships and encounters.

Don’t miss @ourboatmovie and the other amazing films in Shorts Program 5 at @lashortsfest ! Link in bio to purchase tickets 🎟️
