As I pray for other mothers who have lost their babies under mysterious circumstances-as I pray for Tasia Fortune and Nolan Wells-I’m overwhelmed by gratitude for the blessing of safety and well-being of my daughter Sydney. I’m most grateful that God chose me to be her mother. She has taught me to be brave and stand up for what is right. She teaches me how to love animals and how to believe in myself. She teaches me how to think outside of the box, and has helped me revive my love of art, because she is an amazing artist. Sydney is determined, courageous, kind, God-fearing, and resilient. All that sick people and this world have thrown at her and her family has done nothing but empower her. Look at her now! Excelling, overcoming, and still embracing JOY. Thank you Lord for choosing me. I knew she was going to be wonderful, most importantly, because after having her, my BP spiked to 180/100 and I nearly did not make it. But God heard our prayers and I thank Him for allowing me to watch you grow over these last 15 years. I pray she is covered, blessed, and protected through a long a fruitful life.
