MY ALBUM COVER “EXPENCE” when I was making this album I wanted to take huge inspiration from the Saturdays as you know by now are my all time favourite girl band, for my first album I wanted to show who I am with nothing around me, just me stripped down to my personality and uniqueness, my character, I honestly was gonna come up with some cool name for the album but these songs are me down to a T, Just soo me and there’s nothing else more me than these Songs, its why I called it Expence because it’s exactly how I imagined it, I hope yous love theses songs the way I do, love Expence xxx

Today, I want to share something incredibly personal with you all.

For a long time, I’ve been on a journey of understanding myself, discovering who I am and finding the courage to embrace the woman I know myself to be.

This journey hasn’t always been easy. A lot of people in the past and present have always asked me if I was trans and personally I’ve not been able to come towards saying yes because of my appearance out of drag, One of my biggest personal struggles has been my facial hair. Having to constantly shave, only for my beard to grow back again, leaving me in constant pain and constantly feeling my dysphoria. There are days when looking in the mirror and seeing it makes me feel less feminine, and it’s something I struggle with more than people might realise.

I’m still Gigi Expence, the performer and the girl who loves drag, But I’m also allowing myself the freedom to live authentically, outside of the stage lights and makeup.

This is me. Not a character, not a performance, not a costume. Just me 🩵👱🏻‍♀️

To everyone who has supported me, loved me and stood by me, thank you. Gigi 🩵 by @gigiexpence
