Agape is a Greek word that describes a selfless, unconditional, and sacrificial love - often considered as the highest form of love - characterised by a deliberate choice to desire and work for the good of another, regardless of their actions or any expectation of reciprocation…. Following after its definition, this is my Agape, towards the loss of my uncle John. Losing him broke my heart and this piece became a promise to him that I’d hold myself together when it felt like the world was falling apart. In dark times, I would resort to this drawing to feel closer him, as if drawing allowed me to talk to him about my pain and sustain grief in silence together. I drew the fish he wanted to see, the puzzle pieces he loved putting together and silhouettes of the vinyls he collected, all in a gravitating space only we knew of and could understand. John, wherever you are, thank you... I just want you to know how much unconditional love still surrounds you and that we’ll always be here, safe and sound amidst the wonders of the agape we created. by @gigigregoryltd

The Art of Ties is a venture to revolutionize the traditional fashion conventions surrounding the necktie with meaningful and innovative design as an experimental route to expand my practice as an artist. I’ve strived to replace the garment’s history of gender bias and conservatively dated designs with a new cutting edge perspective supported by significantly illustrative symbolisms. My objective was to shift the already-made professional purpose of the tie with a remaking of its function by recreating the garment with drawn statements that embody one’s state of mind with a state-of-the-art approach. By imagining the accessory as a frame for personal representation, I came to the construction of what is now my flagship product, a totem of identity, along with the registration of my brand that aims to EMPOWER others with representative art.
