Navigating Global Crises Through Music and Rebuilding Communities.
Gilad Shamri aka Dj GILARDEN @giilarden is an Entrepreneur, Music Producer, and Activist. In his talk he shares his personal journey, beginning with his deep connection to music festivals as spaces for higher consciousness and self-discovery. He reflects on the power of love and the transformative experience of electronic music events worldwide and how certain types of music activate a multigenerational tribal experience of humans that leads to unity on the dance floor. Inspired by his experiences, he founded Love Cartel in San Francisco, providing a space for community and connection through music.
He recounts the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and the Oct 7th Nova festival massacre which led him to create Hafla, a celebration of life rooted in Middle Eastern and North African culture. Despite personal tragedy and isolation, Gilad emphasizes the importance of resilience and the ability of music to unite people across borders and backgrounds.
Through Love Cartel and Hafla, Gilad seeks to promote peace and understanding, using music as a tool for connection and activism. He encourages others to manifest their visions for a better world and to never lose hope. taken in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica by @giilarden
