After several prior managers punishing me for removing wildlife from the hangar, Big Mike always had my back. Me being a Nationally Certified Animal Cruelty Investigator and involved with all local Wildlife and Domestic Rescues he knew I could handle this responsibly. Being involved with wildlife, I knew the bat could not fly unless it's drops from an elevated perch. Being I found it on the ground at FOD walk down he allowed me to remove it and put it on the storage shed to give it the opportunity to fly. Success! You can hear Big Mike in the background filled with satisfaction with our save for the day after finding it on the ground RIP Mike. You were a rare human. Hardworking, respectful, compassionate, and true friend. I still can't believe you are gone. I miss you more than words could ever state. Yes, my heart is with the animals and safe removal but also because I care for the FOD hazard they pose to the pilot and aircraft they are flying. Teamwork. I already miss you beyond any level I could state. RIP Big Mike by @gijonas20
