How long can you hold a full stein of bier? 🍺💪

This Saturday, the strongest arms and steadiest hands from across the Carolinas are coming to Gilde for the US Steinholding Championship (@ussteinholding)!

The challenge? Hold a full stein straight out in front of you for as long as you can. No drinking. No spilling. No setting it down. Just grit, determination, and one burning question: how bad do they want it? 👀

Come cheer on the competitors, enjoy good food and cold bier, and see who has what it takes to go the distance!

Why are we talking about Tuesday on a Friday?

Because we want you to have dinner plans figured out before the weekend even starts. 😉

Starting next Tuesday, September 1, Gilde is OPEN on Tuesdays again! 🍻

And parents, we saved you another reason to make Tuesday a Gilde night:

👧 KIDS EAT FREE with the purchase of an adult entrée.

So while you’re making weekend plans, go ahead and add Tuesday to the calendar.

Bring the family. Grab a bier. Let the kids eat free. And turn an ordinary Tuesday into a pretty damn good one.

We’ll see you Tuesday. Prost, y'all! 🍻

A little pink. A whole lot of purpose. 💗

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re proud to support those impacted by breast cancer.

Gilde’s limited-edition awareness shirts are here, with a portion of every shirt sold going directly to @go_jen_go, a Charlotte-based nonprofit providing financial assistance to breast cancer patients and their families.

Want to show your support? Grab a shirt during your next visit to Gilde, wear it proudly, and help spread the word. Every shirt sold helps support a meaningful cause, and every conversation can help raise awareness.

Wear your support. Share some hope. Help make a difference. 💗

Prost, y’all! 🍻

Some people become regulars. Others help make Gilde feel like home. 🍻

Today, we’re raising a stein to Folko, one of our Rooster Rewards Mug Club members and a big part of what makes this community special.

You might not know this, but Folko was the driving force behind syncing our TVs and sound, allowing us to bring game days to life for everyone. Thanks in no small part to him, our guests can gather, cheer on their teams, and enjoy the game together!

Beyond that, Folko brings a calm, welcoming energy and is always a great person to talk to. You can usually find him here on Wednesdays for Stammtisch or hanging out on the weekends for one of the Bundesliga matches. ❤️

Folko is exactly what the Rooster Rewards Mug Club is all about: celebrating the people who make Gilde what is.

Here’s how it works:

🐓 Join Rooster Rewards to start earning points when you visit.
🍺 Earn 500 points and you can join the Mug Club.
🍻 Get your own engraved, signed mug and enjoy discounted bier!

It’s our way of saying thanks to the people who keep coming back, bring their friends, and help make this place what it is.

Because a brewery is more than the bier we brew or the food we serve. It’s the people who fill the seats, share the laughs, cheer on their teams, and make room for one more at the table. That community is what keeps our doors open and what forms the heart of Gilde.

Thanks for being part of it, Folko. Prost to you! 🍻

Anyone else missing Oktoberfest already?🍻

Three weekends of full tables, raised steins, live music, and Festgoers bringing the energy. You made it one for the books, and we're still riding that high. ❤️

Unfortunately, we'll be closed all day tomorrow, Saturday, October 10, for a private event. 😭 We'll miss having you around, but we'll be back to pouring bier and serving your favorites on Sunday!

So make your weekend plans accordingly, and come spend some time with us as soon as you can. There's always a cold bier, good food, and a seat waiting at Gilde.

Prost, y'all! 🍻

Evening runners & welcome to another beautiful Wednesday with Gilde! There's a ton happening this month, and I wanna make sure you guys don't miss it!

Next week, we've got special guest Denis from Sweat440 (@sweat440charlottesouthend) coming out to lead us in a pre-run stretch. (Cuz let's be honest, most of us are pretty bad at doing this.) Check out their Instagram to get an idea of their sessions.

Also, Madabolic (@madclt) is offering 3 free classes to you all thinking of throwing in a little strength training on top of your runs. Copy/paste the link if interested: https://tinyurl.com/gilderunclub

Lastly, we'll be doing our usual 1, 3 and 5 routes along with a penny beer & a $5 dollar burger. Be sure not to miss us this month as we roll in the Fall season!

That’s a wrap on Oktoberfest 2026 here at Gilde. 🍻

And really, all credit to you guys! You showed up, raised your steins, sang along, competed, ate, drank, and made these past three weekends one for the books.

From the first keg tapping to the final stein raised, you brought the energy and made Oktoberfest at Gilde something special.

Missing the steinholding already? We’ve got something to scratch the itch!

🏆 The @ussteinholding is bringing the Steinholding Championship Finals of the Carolinas to Gilde on October 17!

So you don’t have to wait until next Oktoberfest to see the insane feats of strength. 💪🍻 Only a couple of Saturdays 😉

Until next time, y'all. Prost!🍻
