Redbull Day In The Dirt GP, Glen Helen California 🏁🔥! What an amazing experience racing this legendary track on a 1968 Triumph TR6. The bike being a survivor desert sled build and raced in the 60s and 70s by Les Edwards Cycle Imports now being used again for what it was build, rippinggg! The first race of many to come 🏜️🔥.Side storyDecided to sell a bike at home and buy one in USA to go race some awesome races with my friends @hellonwheelsmc . Found a 1968 Triumph TR6 in Houston Texas @bigdcycle , Meatball & @luckyangus being absolute legends picked up the bike and dropped it off @lehangar23 in Costa Mesa to have it race made ready. A small recap of our annual 60s trip, where 11 like-minded people come together for a 5 day offroad adventure on 60s bikes. We ride, wrench, eat, and laugh together, creating memories along the way. The Biltwell 100 2026 edition, last minute decision to go to California for 5 days to race 75miles in the desert 🏜️ . The idea? Pre run the bike to race the Baja 1000 and pick up my 1988 Ford Econoline that will be our chase truck during the Baja 1000 two weeks later + fly in as much spare parts as I can carry to build the race bike.We raced and we raced hard, probably the fastest racing on a 60s Triumph I ever did. Had a great start having the lead for a couple of second to have Florian & Forrest pass me and battle hard all day, Florian had a crash and lost the lead which led to me and Forrest going after it to the finish line. We came seconds apart. It was rad, so freaking rad! Fast dudes racing very old fast bikes, on a rough terrain 🔥! Heat 1 from Wheels&Waves classic flat track TT.TT is a flat track race with usually a right hand turn and a small jump. Bikes can solely run a front brake during a TT, all other flat track races front brakes are forbidden. Heat 1 my bike ran super good and managed to take the win 🏁✊🏼🤠. The track was awesome and very rock and roll, just how I like it. The bike is an original AMA race bike for the 70s, Champion racing frame with a Triumph 750 engine. It has all the racing components and what I love most is going all out ✊🏼🔥. This year was my 10th year @wheels_and_waves , 10 years of sharing my passion for vintage motorcycles and racing with old and new friends 🏁. A passion and lifestyle I love and value a lot. My first Wheels&Waves in 2016 I met @loicchetout and @maxime_fontvielle on the way back from Punk’s Peak, I got lost and they showed me the way back to Biarritz 🤠. We have been friends ever since, travelled different countries together on motorcycles. This is one of many friendships build over the years here. This year we had the chance to represent @theroadshow.enduro in our own tent at the festival, which we are very honoured by. We brought our Triumph’s and Ossa’s to be raced at Vintage Enduro on Saturday. We met super nice and interesting people all week and are super stoked for what the future brings.We are planning to keep doing what we love with a lot of passion. Some from the cactus region on a recent @norraracing_official 1000 race down the entire Baja peninsula with piloto @gilleee on a 1966 triumph like they would have done on the very first Norra 1000 back in 1967.
