✨ A Look Back at Scholarship Fest 2026 ✨ There’s something pretty special about looking back through these photos and seeing the smiles, the laughter, the volunteers, the donors, the families, and the community that came together for our 30th Annual GCFFA Scholarship Fest. 🌺 And this slideshow was captured by someone who represents exactly why we do what we do. Abby Dennis with abbyd_photos, one of our scholarship recipients and now a student at Texas Tech University, spent the evening capturing these moments for us. What a full-circle gift—to have a young person who has benefited from this event help tell the story of a night that continues to invest in the next generation. Every photo is a reminder that Scholarship Fest is about so much more than one evening. It’s about community, generosity, opportunity, and believing in the young people of Gillespie County. To everyone who donated, volunteered, attended, participated, shared, sponsored, bid, bought raffle tickets, played games, or simply helped spread the word—thank you. Because of you, we get to keep opening doors for students like Abby. Enjoy a little look back at a wonderful night. ❤️🌺 30 years. Hundreds of students. More than $820,000 in scholarships. And a community that continues to show up. #GCFFAScholarshipFest #GillespieCounty #ScholarshipFest #InvestingInOurFuture #TexasTech #CommunityStrong https://www.facebook.com/share/1Jjc8Ns49f/?mibextid=wwXIfr by @gillespiecountyfair

🌺 MAHALO. 🌺 As we look around the fairgrounds today, that’s the word that keeps coming to mind. Mahalo to everyone who came out and spent your Saturday night with us at our 30th Annual Scholarship Fest. Mahalo to every person and business who donated money, auction items, raffle prizes, food, supplies, services and so much more. Mahalo to the volunteers who spent hours setting up, working games, serving dinner, running auctions, selling tickets, cleaning up and doing all the behind-the-scenes work that makes a night like this possible. Mahalo to those who liked, shared and commented on our posts and helped spread the word. And mahalo to the people who helped in ways we may never even know about. There are simply too many people to name, and honestly, we think that’s a pretty wonderful problem to have. Because at the end of the day, this community is what makes Scholarship Fest special. ❤️ An event of this size doesn’t happen because of one person or one committee. It happens because hundreds of people come together, each bringing something different to the table, and work toward one common goal. Teamwork. Generosity. Community. That’s what Scholarship Fest is all about. Thirty years of this event is an incredible milestone, but what means even more is knowing that year after year, this community continues to show up for our local students and their futures. So from all of us who had the privilege of being part of this year’s Scholarship Fest… 🌺 Mahalo, Gillespie County. 🌺 Thank you for showing up. Thank you for giving. Thank you for helping. And thank you for making this community what it is. We couldn’t do it without you. ❤️ Event pictures coming soon… by @gillespiecountyfair

❤️ A PIECE OF FREDERICKSBURG HISTORY ❤️ For generations, DOOLEY’S was the place to go in Fredericksburg. Our local five-and-dime was where you could find just about anything — and where kids went for a special toy, a little treat, or simply to wander the aisles. After nearly 100 years, DOOLEY’S closed its doors a couple of years ago, and it’s still SO missed around here. Now, thanks to the students in the Casa Über Alles Building Trades Program, a little piece of DOOLEY’S history has been preserved. ❤️ These two absolutely stunning, fully functional cutting boards were crafted from reclaimed wood from DOOLEY’S itself. They are more than beautiful pieces — they are a piece of Fredericksburg history that you can pass down for generations. And they’ll both be going home with someone from the 30th Annual GCFFA Scholarship Fest NEXT SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19! Come early and make plans to stay awhile! 🎟️ Gates open at 4:00 PM — If you want a chance at the games, get there early! They have a tendency to sell out before dinner. 🛍️ Silent Auction: 4:00–7:00 PM 🍽️ Dinner: 6:00 PM 👑 Queens’ Cake Auction: 6:30 PM 🔨 Live Auction: approximately 7:15 PM Come enjoy a fun night with our community, bid on some incredible items, and help us raise money for local youth scholarships — all while taking home a little piece of Fredericksburg history. ❤️ We can’t wait to see you there! #ScholarshipFest #GCFFA #FredericksburgTexas #Dooleys #LocalHistory #SupportLocalYouth by @gillespiecountyfair
