About last weekend 💫 About this RECORD!

Counting the days until we can listen down together… 🫠

Next time we do it up like this will be the release ✨🌕 And when we fully fund this @kickstarter by Monday night, I’ll book that album release show for 2027!

But where should we do it?? Under the full moon or in one of our beloved Bay Area venues? Tell me in the comments!

Hardly Strictly Birthday [Wknd] recap 🥰

…sponsored by one of my new favorite bands @mamasbroke 🙏🧡 (who brought me on stage with them at @hardlystrictlybluegrass) and punctuated by meeting some absolute legends and secretly heckling the surfers at ocean beach every morning. Best time.

But this birthday was the best before it even started. Celebrating the last year of full health was more than enough! 😊 Sitting here with a freshly broken foot 😂 that doesn’t remotely compare to what I’ve been going through the past couple of years, and I just feel so grateful. Thanks for all your support through those challenging times and for helping me kick things back into high gear over this past year! It’s been such a hoot and an honor, and I’m so excited for what’s to come…

I like the way it feels to be back in California just working on songs in my van at the trailhead again 😌

Big stuff ahead but first, an excellently fun show at @hopmonksebastopol opening up for @mamasbroke tomorrow night on their way down to play @hardlystrictlybluegrass 🍂 we may or may not have something special planned, so hard to say 🤭 anyhow if you haven’t heard of them yet you sure will soon. They really get it. I’m so stoked to hear them! Tickets be flying, better hurry up!

Back in Trouble & heading home by way of the cutest vanlife fest this side of the Mississippi! 🚐💨💨✨🧑‍🩰

Should I just drive across the country again this fall? just for funsies? If the third time’s the charm, what’s the fourth all about?? 😂

I’m obviously joking I have SO much work to do on this record now that we funded this release 🫵🙏 and, low key, a few songs to write as soon as I find the space for that…

What a summer it has been! What a fall it’s become! Not quite the pilgrimage to discover my Irish roots that I’d planned but then the way that things have taken shape this year has left me humbled and delighted and in awe of a great many things 🧡 and people!

Looking forward to this handful of very special autumn shows, to rediscovering routines and toasty Cali afternoons, crunchy leaves underfoot, running the trails, climbing the rocks, writing the songs, slapping a bass?, slow dinners, good friends, salty dogs, hot bevies. Thank you for supporting this project and putting so much trust in me to see it through! I am over the moon excited to be able to share this record with you next year!

We are going to have a Live Streamed Listening Party later this month to hear the *actual record* together and answer all your questions and then have you VOTE on a song to release as a single before the album comes out! 😱 and you can still join us!

Kickstarter has this “Late Pledges” feature where you can still support a project even after it funds, so I’m leaving that window open **this week** for all you folks just hearing about this now… Don’t procrastinate. 🥀 this is truly final call!

Okay, my dears. We did it. Thank you so much. I think I can speak for everyone who has given their heart and time and attention to this project over the past couple of years when I say, thank you for investing in our art. 🙏✨

Whelp. One final request 🙈 swipe for the reward!

The realities of needing to retire my van sort of hit me immediately after we launched this project… well sort of exactly at the same time and in the middle of a national tour (keep swiping), but I couldn’t risk the project not funding at all, so I left it out of the main goal, but deep down. I knew. I already went into debt cleaning up after my van so aptly named “Trouble” all summer on tour, and my bandmate paid as additional energetic price for it, and now it looks like I’ll be fronting some serious cash to rent or buy a crew van next year that, quite frankly, probably won’t be afforded by my first ever band tour.

I can’t fathom having a successful kickstarter and still plunging into debt, so I’m asking for one last push to finish funding this album cycle and set this band up on a sustainable path 🙏✨🚐💨
