Molar 17

Director/Editor: @gilmouredits
Photography: @theoracle_photography

Molar 17 is a 2025 experimental short film exploring objectification, body horror, identity, societal expectation and rage from the female perspective. The film follows two women through their experience.

I created Molar 17 as I recovered from wisdom teeth removal surgery. The pain from my teeth began long before surgery and the entire journey from my erupting teeth grinding my gums raw, to the end of recovery was a long, brutal, bloody and ugly experience I would not wish upon others. It was also an experience quite familiar to me as a woman. Through this reflection I created Molar 17 for my experimental filmmaking class alongside @theoracle_photography.

Next week I graduate from SCAD with a BFA in Film & Television with a minor in Editing. Film and editing gives me life and I cannot wait to deliver and create stories that connect us all.

If you’re in Savannah, come and watch my three senior thesis’s I edited as my capstone at Senior Showcase! Problematic, Opulence and Crescent I hold so dearly to my heart and I’m so excited to see them on the big screen for the first time.

Until next time Savannah 👋🎓🎬
