This Smoky Worm landed at my desk the other day, and what a joy 🍉

Recipe from @kevin_kos where irish whiskey meets mezcal and lemon juice, and then clarified with watermelon.

Served straight out of the freezer with just a few drops of soy sauce added. Awesome blend of lightly sweet, salty, smoked flavours.

Blackberry Martini
3 Blackberries
6 cl London Dry gin, here Makar
2 cl vermouth, here Dolin
0.5 cl rich sugar syrup (2:1)
1 pinch of salt

Muddle blackberries in shaker, add gin, vermouth, sugar syrup and salt, shake with ice. Strain and serve up. Garnish with fresh blackberries.

Picked the first blackberries in my local forest today. That inspired for this serve, which is a twisted take on the recipe from Difford's guide.

This time of the year is lovely with nature offering an abundant buffet of edible fruits and berries.

Sling it - Danish summer edition

There are colleagues, and then there are colleagues who mixes drinks. I love both 💜
The later are serious fun to discuss your next serve with and exchange great ideas.
I'm so gifted to share department with two outstandig creative souls at my student job 🫰🤩
And @alohakamoha kindly sat this prebatch twist on the Singapore Gin Sling at my desk as a vacation gift.

Grenadine, lime, triple sec and pineapple has been replaced by the full-hearted Frederiksdal Cherry wine made with the special almost black cherries from Stevns, demerara syrup, orange bitters and freshly squeezed lemon juice, I added myself prior to the shake.

And what a serve 🤩 balanced, bold and so tasty 🍒
I can only recommend this.

Stir on ice, discard ice and serve up.

This is a reshake from @sheepishjen.
In a world that seems to be falling more and more a part friendship and close connection with clever and kind people refuels the belief in a better future for all ❤️

Meanwhile, this bold bitter serve with interesting layers of flavours will keep you warm on a murky Saturday.
After a long frozen winter, things seem to change here. Though with quite a dash of grey, cloudy weather. However, spring is coming 🌿

Figues, port & walnut

Not your usual negroni 😉

3 cl Cask aged Figue snaps, Snaps Bornholm
2 cl White port, Grifo 10 Y
2 cl Extra Dry vermouth, Freimeister Kollektiv
1 dash Walnut bitters, Fee Brothers

Stir all well on ice, serve up, decorate with a fresh figue.

More or less following the negroni template this serve is a different choice in a very red negroni week.

The cask aged figue snaps is a limited edition from Snaps Bornholm. Rich in flavour and more sweet than gin, hence the dry vermouth to level things out and walnut bitters to cut egdes.

Fine serve in the last sunrays of Friday.

Knock, knock, negroni o'clock 🍒

Are you ready for Negroni week? It's running from 22 to 28 September, just in case you need to know.

This Sour Cherry Negroni is made with the Sour Cherry Gin from Luxardo, red Dolin vermouth and Campari. Equal parts, stirred with ice. As oranges are not that much in season here dried rosehip flower leafs did the garnish job.

A fine aperitivo on a sunny Saturday, salute!

Christmas time 🎄

Christmas Martinez
4 cl Sacred Christmas Pudding Gin
1 cl Port, here Martinez late bottled vintage port 2016
0.5 cl Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
5 drops Seville orange bitters, homemade
1 dash Angostura

Stir all on ice, carefully and enough to chill and dilute = at least 2 mins

Serve up, add peel of orange or you favourite Christmas cookie, here a spicy ginger cookie, I baked with my family a few days ago.

The red vermouth in the classic Martinez orange recipe is swapped for port. Such a good and tasty twist. Plus the Christmas Pudding Gin gives an additional spicey flavour layer.

I hope you are looking into some nice relaxed days surrounded by your loved ones ❤️

This year I'm hiding in books as I have started studying in the autumn and exam awaits right after New Years 📚

Still prioritizing Christmas with the family 🎄❤️ as breaks also are important. And this classic Christmas serve.

Negroni week is still running and after a long days work painting my dad's garage it's definately apéro o'clock.

This negroni is composed of the København klassisk gin, spiced Spanish vermouth and Campari, a drizzle of my homemade seville orange bitters and stored overnight with oak pieces in a jar, lending a slightly woody flavour.

The fig tree outside the window is providing a sweet treat to these summery autumn days.

Moonshine Production Gin & Tonic

We went to @vestervedstedvingaard last year and had a lovely, local farm to table dinner with local wineyard wines.
Such a great experience 🌟

The seating was in the extended living room/café/shop, where all walls were covered with the local wine yard spirits, which on top of wines also encountered vermouth, two types of absinthe, schnapps and gin.

Of cause I had to bring home some of these and tonight was time for a summer night G&T on the balcony with Moonshine gin.
Already when mixing the opalized colour reveals the gin is burstling with botanicals, herbs in particular and the tasting confirms this.
The kind wineyard folks Marie and Xavier explained all good from the garden was used to produce this. And right they are.
This gin is a lovely memory from a night well spent in the wild west of Denmark.

Friday on a Wednesday!
Yes, the weekend started today, thanks to Bank holiday and an office closure day.

That calls for a G&T on the balcony.
Choice of this serve is the fine Hen Harrier gin from the Danish Volsted Distillery. An old tom styled gin, with a good dash of rosemary.
As the rosemary in the garden is blooming matching garnish is on point 💜
The gin has lost a bit of it's blue hue, hence the lighter purple colour. Taste is still on point though.

The fever tree Mediterranean tonic joined the serve and fits the gin well. Plus that tiny dash of salt enhancing the flavours.

When it's raining cats and dogs do a Montecarlo 🥃

6 cl Koval Rye
1.5 DOM Bénédictine liqueur
2 dashes Angostura
Lemon peel

Stir three first ingredients with ice, 2 mins of patience, add to serving glass, express lemon peel and add peel to serve.

Strange weather all over. After a chill spring beginning, dry heat for plus one month the rain return abundantly 🌧☀️🌧

What to do? Tuck in and build a comfy old fashion styled drink and read your favourite book.

Twisted Americano
(Reshake @erbsiscocktails)

1.5 cl strawberry infused Campari
1.5 cl Bigallet China China amaro
4.5 cl Dolin vermouth, red

9 cl Soda water
Orange peel

Mix the three first ingredients with ice, transfer to serving glass, add soda water, stir lightly, express orange peel over serve and add to glass.

So, Karin showcased this and it really didn't take me long to mix this up here as the bitter (drinks) the better 🤩

And this was an absolutly bitterlicious serve for the very hot summer we are having at the moment. Super tasty and the burned orange flavour notes from the Bigallet shined along the fruity twisted Campari.
