Thank you to the many friends who sent Birthday wishes from all corners of the world! I felt the love 🥰! Also to Gary @abstractrpm for spoiling me this entire weekend with his hospitality and generosity. It's fun when you have someone who rides the way you do!

We stayed in Vegas after after a long way round back roads from St George and my traditional sushi dinner was had at a restaurant with an interesting menu...see #71 😳 😱. Our final journey was thru desert roads from Vegas with all the strange desert sitings. The day was topped off when Owen spotted me on my orange GS rollin' thru 29 Palms and we had a great visit over Thai lunch with his new girlfriend. Good times!

Happiness is... a getaway for my birthday weekend! My buddy Gary was running an Ultra Marathon in Bryce and invited me along. It's been 30 years and probably my favorite National park! LA-Vegas-Bryce via back roads. Happy National Dog Day and Gotcha Day to my crazytown, full tilt boogie kid Dorothy Jacklyn Keely Ray Smith! 3 years ago today I drove up to the Lancaster shelter that kills dogs on a regular basis and got her for free! Funny how so many of the pictures I have of her she's chillaxin' which is opposite what she's doing all the time. 🤣 This dog is bred as a triple herder - Collie, Border Collie, Australian Cattle Dog mix. She's super cute when she sits still but the rest of the time she drives me nuts! She's been a great companion to her brother Loki and brought him out of his shell a bit. In turn, he made her more neurotic 😳. Her new brother Boots is madly in love with her and she loves to sleep on me protecting me. Keely Ray, you kill me but I love you! #gotchaday #crazyCattledogs

Sunday funday at the Petersen with this weekend's American Cruise-In! Hot cars on hot days... me looking for hot single men who drive them 🔥 👀 🤣. I went inside to see my favorite car in my favorite color, the Muira 💓😍 Although the GT40 MK III was a close second. Whirlwind 4 days with my sister Kate and niece Alex who is a new California girl and SDSU Aztec! They came into town we did a lot of shopping and then drove to San Diego where I continued on to my friends Lauren and Steve's 25 yr anniversary party and renewal of vows while they went to school for orientation. I got to hang out at the famous Humphries Jazz bar, sleep on a Boat BnB and sail the whole next day! Happy Saturday reconnecting with @briancatterson at LBBMW Open House where he shared chapters from his new book coming soon, Guest Rider! He read about his time, travels, friendship and loss of the great drummer Neil Peart. We haven't seen each other in years but the bond, loyalty and admiration Brian has had since childhood for RUSH and later for Neil was catching. I enjoyed reliving some stories I heard in the past and many new ones. Catman is seeing the "New Rush" tomorrow nite and travelling the country following the tour and sharing his perspective thru a mini book tour. Catch him at a dealer if you can, the stories and pictures are priceless! The Macallan 12 was on hand to make it legit! 🥃
