✨ Every home has a story.

This incredible triplex at 125 East 12th Street had been on the market before with another brokerage. After months, multiple price reductions, and no sale, the owner decided it was time for a fresh approach.

That’s where @buchmansbrooklyn and our team at Create Comfort Staging came in. We quickly cleared the apartment, coordinated painting and minor repairs, and transformed the space with a thoughtful, cohesive staging design that highlighted the home’s incredible architecture and scale. šŸ›‹ļøšŸŽØ

The space absolutely came alive with gorgeous artwork from @ginakeatley of @bushwickgallery , andĀ @baum.erica of @bureau_ —pieces that honestly felt like they were made for a home like this. They elevated every room and brought the entire vision together. šŸ–¼ļøāœØ

The result? A stunning presentation that helped showcase the property’s full potential—and, paired with the outstanding marketing and negotiation skills of @buchmansbrooklyn of @thecorcorangroup , led to a quick sale at top dollar. šŸ‘

It was a true team effort from start to finish, and we’re grateful to have played a part in bringing this beautiful home to life. ā¤ļø

Gion Matsuri in Kyoto šŸŽ

We wandered through the festival streets under rows of glowing lanterns, eating our way through wagyu skewers, dumplings, tempura, and giant cotton candy. There were food stalls, festival games, packed streets, and something fun happening in every direction.

Hot, loud, crowded, and completely worth it.

This week’s Minute Muse explores Joan Miró and the importance of giving your work room to breathe.

Miró refused to let his creativity stay confined to the canvas. His paintings expanded into sculpture, ceramics, and monumental public works, proving that ideas often become stronger when they leave familiar boundaries.
His work reminds us that too much control can limit possibility. Sometimes the next breakthrough comes from changing the scale, stepping outside, or letting the work exist in a new environment. If you want to give it that Catalan pronunciation, Joan Miró is said roughly ā€œzhoo-AHN mee-ROH.ā€

A sincere thank you to Espace Louis Vuitton Osaka and Fondation Louis Vuitton for continuing to bring ambitious, museum-quality contemporary art into the heart of Osaka.

I have visited several exhibitions here and deeply appreciate the Foundation’s commitment to making important art freely accessible within one of Japan’s busiest cities. The current Jeff Koons presentation brings together works that move between painting, sculpture, popular culture, advertising, childhood imagery, and the polished language of luxury.

From the playful theatricality of Wild Boy and Puppy and the familiar figures in Three Ball 50/50 Tank, to the glossy intensity of Bracelet and the layered visual excess of Monkey Train (Birds) and Landscape (Tree) II, the exhibition reveals how Koons transforms everyday images and objects into something monumental, seductive, and strangely reflective.

That belief in art as something generous, immediate, and connected to place is also part of the inspiration behind @saltroadstudio . #EspaceLouisVuittonOsaka #FondationLouisVuitton #LVArtsCultureProgram #EspaceLV taken in Louis Vuitton by @ginakeatley

This week’s Minute Muse looks at Robert Indiana and the strength of building ideas that can endure.

Indiana’s iconic LOVE sculptures weren’t created as delicate symbols. Cast in steel and aluminum and installed in public spaces around the world, they were designed to withstand time, weather, and constant interaction.
His work reminds us that the strongest ideas aren’t the ones we protect—they’re the ones we build to last. If your message matters, don’t keep it small. Give it the strength to stand in the world.

Wishing all the artists, galleries, collectors, and curators an incredible Hamptons Fine Art Fair this year.

Last year, Bushwick Gallery was proud to make its HFAF debut with a two-booth presentation featuring an exceptional group of artists: Beth Shaw, Gina Keatley, Jon Sarkin, Roger W. Hsia, Sherihan Khalil, and Kelly Nicole Sullivan.

It was an unforgettable milestone filled with inspiring conversations, new collectors, and remarkable artwork. I’m excited to see Bushwick Gallery continue its journey, and I look forward to cheering on the new owner as they bring the gallery back to HFAF next year.

Wishing everyone exhibiting this year a fantastic fair and continued success. taken in Bushwick Gallery by @ginakeatley

Give me texture over perfection every time. I love surfaces that have lived a little. Weathered wood, burn marks, scratches, and layers that refuse to disappear bring an energy you can’t fake. #texture #arteverywhere #summer #lunch #heat by @ginakeatley

This week’s Minute Muse explores Maurizio Cattelan and the power of simplicity with conviction.

Cattelan’s Comedian—a banana duct-taped to a wall—became one of the most talked-about works of contemporary art. Not because it was technically complex, but because it challenged expectations and demanded a reaction.
His work reminds us that powerful ideas don’t always need more layers, more explanation, or more polish. Sometimes the boldest creative decision is to strip an idea down to its essence and trust it to stand on its own.

72 hours in Tokyo with Scott. šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ

We explored Takanawa Gateway City, stood shoulder to shoulder with the chefs at Uogashi Standing Sushi Bar, watched the magic at Tensuke, stopped by Japan Travel KK, wandered lantern-lit streets, and even made our own chopsticks by hand.

Tokyo reminds us that great things are built through craftsmanship, patience, and attention to detail.

Next stop: AkoĢ„. āœØšŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ

This week’s Minute Muse honors Independence Day through Emanuel Leutze’s iconic Washington Crossing the Delaware and the power of visual storytelling.

Leutze’s painting wasn’t intended as a literal documentary of the crossing. He carefully composed and altered details to create an image that embodied courage, determination, and the American spirit. The result became one of the most recognizable works in American art—not because every detail was historically exact, but because it captured a larger truth.

As artists, we don’t always need to reproduce reality exactly. Sometimes our greatest responsibility is to create something that communicates an idea so clearly that it endures.

Thank you, Bushwick. ā¤ļø

What started as an idea became a gallery, a community, hundreds of artists, countless exhibitions, new friendships, and more unforgettable moments than I can count.

As I close this chapter and officially pass Bushwick Gallery to new ownership, I want to thank every artist, collector, curator, writer, volunteer, staff member, and supporter who helped make it possible. We could not have built what we built without you.

Now it’s time for a new adventure.

I’ll be focusing on @saltroadstudio my work as an artist and new projects between New York City and Japan.

The story isn’t ending. It’s just changing direction.

Cheers to what’s next. šŸ„‚

šŸ”„ Spice level: worth it. šŸ¦žšŸŒ¶ļø

When the lobster arrives covered in bold Sichuan spice, you know you’re in for something special. Crispy, messy, fiery, and absolutely packed with flavor—this is the kind of dish that keeps you reaching for one more bite.

If you love heat and seafood, don’t skip the spicy lobster at Twilight Lounge. It’s the perfect excuse to get your hands dirty.

Who’s grabbing the extra claw? šŸ‘€šŸ¦žšŸ”„
