As Parish Director of Miss Universe Jamaica Westmoreland and Hanover,
it is my absolute pleasure, along with our National Directors Mark McDermoth and Karl Williams to Announce and Congratulate Regina Mclean as title holder for Miss Universe Jamaica Hanover 2026.

"Regina embodies the qualities of an Ambassador, she's graceful as she is impactful. She has proven her Authenticity and ability to commit to the task. I believe her passion to impact, serve and inspire will make her an exceptional representative for the Parish of Hanover, where she is already giving her service in a professional space.

As she begins her journey toward the Miss
Universe Jamaica crown, we invite you to join us in celebrating and supporting her throughout this exciting year."

"Congratulations, Regina Miss Universe Jamaica Hanover 2026! We're all very proud of you.

I said yes to the unknown, and the unknown said “welcome, we’ve been waiting for you.” 👑✨ Although Coronation night has passed, I am STILL trying to convince my nervous system to relax. 😭💛

This was my very FIRST pageant of such magnitude and I stepped so far outside my comfort zone I couldn’t find my way back even if I tried. Best decision I ever made. What I found on the other side of fear was possibility, opportunity, sisterhood, and a version of myself I hadn’t fully met yet.

To my pageant sisters, you made this journey sacred. To my tribe & everyone who cheered, prayed, texted, supported, and poured into me, I felt every single drop of it. Thank you, endlessly🤍💋

I’m walking away with lessons, growth, and the quiet confidence of a woman who showed up for herself. I am proud. Not because I was perfect, but because I was brave, and bravery, I’ve learned, is the real crown.

I’m just getting started. 👑

Living on a Caribbean island means the sea is woven into almost every part of our lives. It feeds us, protects livelihoods, sustains tourism, gives marine life a home and, ultimately, connects the health of our environment to the health of our people.

Yet too often, our shorelines become the final resting place for what we carelessly discard.

How we dispose of our waste seriously matters. The bottle, boxes, cups & cans tossed from a car, the plastic left after a beach day, the wrapper swept into a drain all have somewhere to go. And far too often, “somewhere” becomes our rivers, mangroves, beaches and sea.

We owe our coastal communities more care. We owe our marine life more consideration. And we owe future generations an island where paradise is something we protect, not simply promote.

Today we cleaned, but the greater responsibility is what happens tomorrow. ♻️🌱 This International Coastal Cleanup Day felt especially personal as the heart behind Roots2Reef, and as a proud member of the Princess Hotels & Resorts Jamaica team, I had the opportunity to put advocacy into action as we came together to help restore the beauty of the Negril Beach Park.

But a cleaner coastline should never begin and end with a cleanup.

Well… what a journey this has been. 🤍✨ My Miss Universe Jamaica 2026 competition journey has come to an end with a Top 14 placement, and I’m walking away incredibly proud of myself.

I showed up, stayed disciplined, made the sacrifices, found courage and watched my growth happen in real time. Turns out, great things happen when you release the fear of being perceived. 😉👑

I’m beyond grateful for my family, friends, sponsors and supporters near and far who poured so much love into me throughout this experience, and for the sisterhood and friendships I gained along the way. To every woman who stepped on that stage last night, you DID that! And to our new Miss Universe Jamaica 2026, wishing you a beautiful and successful reign. 🇯🇲✨

As for me, the competition may be over, but the journey certainly isn’t. Miss Universe Jamaica Hanover 2026 still has work to do, memories to make and a few exciting things up her sleeve. 🤭💚

The rest? Stay tuned. 😉✨
