I die at night

I like to take laps around my house, let my brain air out all its concerns. It's like a swarm of emotions or an infestation of ideas blocking my flow of concentration and keeping me from having pleasant dreams. Every little thing starts to pull at me like an anchor, only making me fall further into the abyss of mental distractions. I try to stay afloat, listen to my pant legs drag on the floor and the creaks of the wood, the grandfather clock chiming in every so often. I make an effort to let the stimulus distract me, but it only adds to the chaos. It's just a fog horn on top of tornado sirens, it does nothing to block out the sound. It's just more sound, more worries and bothers. The night calms me but it's so quiet that I miss the living. I miss hearing the music from my mother's stereo in the kitchen and my father's clicking while he works. I miss being able to speak with others and connect with them.

The daytime, it's the only time I can stay afloat or be alive.
I die at night, for why else does no one hear me cry?

~A Simple Paradox~
I don't remember where I heard or read it from, but this quote kept echoing through my head while writing this. It went something along the lines of: "Everyone suffers, we're just looking for someone to suffer with so we don't suffer alone."

~Just Wait~
I'm sorry for not posting in such a long time, I had a big inspiration to write this all of a sudden. A bit narcissist, but I don't give myself much credit for stuff so yeah. I just really enjoyed this idea, too.

~"Heaven"~
Straight to the point: I have a difficulty with religion, I am atheist. It's hard for me to grasp the concept of religion being reasonable, but growing up Catholic with a very pious father puts me in a guilty state whenever I say this. Therefore, with that being said, I also have a hard time believing in "Heaven." The ambiguity of this concept makes me fear death more, as it likely may not exist. I'd rather respect and recognize what I have now, and love everything and everyone I have.

~Reluctance~
This is another cryptic poem, one I'm most proud of so far. I'm happy to have this week's writings done on time, for once. I promise I will do my best to keep up with my schedule. I love you all, thank you so much, and I hope you continue to enjoy reading these poems as I enjoy writing them.

~Thanatophobia~
Thanatophobia is the fear of death, and it's a common theme in some of my earlier poems. Death, however natural it may be, scares me. I've grown too accustomed to everything I have in life to the point where I don't want to change that, especially not die and be forced to leave everything. I look at myself, supposedly young, and see wrinkles and age and it scares me. I don't know what's on the otherside.
I'm so sorry I haven't been doing well with keeping up with my schedule, I'm still new to this whole concept, and I'm seriously wanting to do something with this.

~Fragile~
One of my biggest insecurities is my feelings, my emotions. I feel like they're very unstable. I found it honestly hard to be happy by myself, and I feel happiest when I am with people, socializing and spending time with them. Despite this, people have also been the cause OF my emotional insecurity, but I can't control their actions and can't blame them for their beliefs. All I can do is hope for better people to come along. Luckily, I think they have. I hope, soon, I can learn to be happy with myself and grow past my emotional instability.

~Constants~

The night seduced my thoughts every second, giving me another nonexistent worry to think of. What of my future, I would think, and what of my past? Questions abused my mind, my body, my soul. It created pains that were but imagination, fictional happenings that were impossible, foresight that was absurdly false. And as I cradled within a mind soaked from the rapid, bladed water that poured down, slowly eroding my brain, the breeze still sang outside my window. The very breeze that struck me with its evil embrace, emitted by the darkness outside the applauding wooden windows. The same breeze that wrapped around inside my throat and froze the saliva in the very center, forming ice cubes that didn’t exist. It was but imagination. It was but the sheer pain within a tormented and scared mind that could be matched with no cure that awaited consumption. I anticipated inevitable death, fearfully. I shut my eyes from the world, preparing my being for my fate. I felt myself fall unconscious, and let the villainous breeze fuel my very nightmares of haunting feelings. I believed I had finally died from the accumulated pain and shock, only to find the sun, its pure kiss cleansing my bedroom. I was free from the darkness, I was alive, only to be forced to endure just another cruel episode, which only destroys my sanity.] --------------------------
