Monster Mash Tie-Dye πŸŽƒπŸ©Έ vs. Count Octcula πŸ§›β€β™‚οΈπŸ•· Have to give a shout-out to @easycareinc for their amazing hoof care products. What started off as a superglue "trial product" 4 years ago now has turned into a staple in our hoof care rotation. The EasyShoe Octo is the equivalent to a max cushion running shoe (a horse Hoka if you will πŸ˜‰) and I love that it gives Klu's hooves a break from our nailing cycles. These Halloween themed digs survived 50 miles of hard, rocky Virginia terrain and still look incredible a week and a half post-race. Which spooky set is your favorite? What theme should we do next? Tell me below ⬇️ #nohoofnohorse #easycare #spooky #endurancehorse #hoofcare by @ginger_gon_trailin
Fort Valley 50 πŸ‚ A tough day on Friday with the high temperatures but it wouldn't be endurance riding without some challenges. There were so many improvements and good things that happened at this ride. Klu is learning to settle in earlier in the day and that leap frogging with other horses is actually okay. This horse takes such great care of himself metabolically and several times during the day he stopped to let another horse scurry down the trail ahead of him so that he could get a drink and just chill. We also became fine with the sponge leash slingin' instead of thinking it was going to attack us πŸ˜‚ Progress lol. It takes such a long time to build a solid endurance horse and I am enjoying the journey of learning all the quirks and tricks that make this horse who he is. It's been a fun ride! πŸ“Έ photos by Becky Pearman #aerc #endurancehorse #nationalshowhorse #virginia #endurance by @ginger_gon_trailin

Chautauqua Challenge 50 πŸ’› Klu rocks his 6th endurance ride. This was a humbling weekend where I got us off course multiple times, causing us to tack on extra mileage. You know what they say - if you're gonna be stupid ya gotta be tough πŸ«£πŸ˜‚ I'm so glad I made it to this ride because it was a fun and beautiful course. Hills, mud, windmills and gorgeous green fields. Great weekend with good company and a good horse πŸ₯° Thank you to ride management and volunteers for making it happen! πŸ“Έ by @kelseydoesthederby #AERC #newyork #chautauqua #endurancehorse #windmill by @ginger_gon_trailin
